    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Barcelona have had 80% possession in the opening 28 minutes, but have mustered just one effort on target.

What do we think Kylian is screaming here?

Maybe he's had a bad day on Wordle.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

My boy Hugo Ekitike blasts one from range. A stinger for Kaylor Navas to hold onto. It was travelling that one but straight at him. There hasn't been much in this so far.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Xavi isn't happy with Ez Abde. He calls the winger over for a chat and he ends up switching flanks with Ferran Torres.

That's the most eventful thing to happen in the last few minutes if I'm honest. Alaves are defending in numbers and Barca are failing to make inroads.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Reims have only lost twice in their last 11 games in all competitions, so you can see why they are showing a bit of confidence here.

PSG meanwhile haven't lost in Ligue 1 since 3 October. That's how you build a handsome lead at the top folks.

I'm hoping Newcastle sign Hugo Ekitike just for the commentary opportunities it'll provide.

    "Ekkkkittikkkaaaayyyyyy".

You know the drill. A beautiful name for a commentator that one.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Now then, the boy Hugo Ekitike - yes the Newcastle target - clearly has a bit about him.

He's only 19 and he cuts in from the left here, gets a bouncing ball under his spell and manages to fashion shooting space 18 yards out. It's a decent opening in the end but he fires over. He did everything else right there.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 33 mins

    PSG 0-0 Reims

A big chance and who would you want it to fall to? That man Kylian.

He's slipped in through the left channel at the end of a rapid break. Marco Verratti picks his pass well and Mbappe opens his body up to shoot... saved by the legs of Predrag Rajkovic.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

    Oooh, good effort.

Luuk de Jong, who has three goals in his last three appearances, meets a cross from the right with a sweetly struck first-time volley that goes just wide.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Bradley Locko goes for a side foot from the edge of the box and it's held at the second attempt by PSG keeper Kaylor Navas. Super work by that Newcaste target Hugo Ekitike to tee him up.

Reims looking confident all of a sudden...

  11. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Blimey. Frenkie de Jong gets away with one there.

He plays a loose pass deep inside his own half that Luis Rioja intercepts, but Alaves had so many players back defending at the other end of the pitch Rioka has no one to pass to and Barca can eventually clear.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Kylian Mbappe has Reims backed up... major trouble... a three versus two... he has Angel Di Maria to his right and plays him in.... slide tackle. The pass from Mbappe gave the defender a chance and it's only a corner.

The corner comes in... cleared for another. In it comes again.... Danilo heads it powerfully but it's just over. As close as we've come.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Reims are nicely organised. When they're under the pump they have bodies and close lines, making them hard to play through. But they aren't afraid to push on a bit too and as PSG try to play out from the back the away side take the decision to press them a bit higher up. It's coming down to making the right decisions at the right time in terms of how they defend. So far so good.

    Alaves 0-0 Barcelona

Sergino Dest has seen plenty of the ball in the opening stages.

He finds space down the Barca right and puts in a dangerous cross that Florian Lejeune clears at the near post.

    Tidy start by the American.

  15. Postpublished at 15 mins

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Danilo springs into an interception for PSG and gets fouled. Marco Verratti gets the home side moving in midfield once again. Reims have three central defenders- and a couple of wing backs on the go. They're all staying narrow and it prompts Angel Di Maria to have a dig from range... over.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Reports are linking Newcastle with Hugo Ekitike by the way.

Some claim Reims can receive a bonus if Newcastle win the Champions League. That seems like a bonus that may take a little time to come to fruition.

Reims defend a couple of corners admirably but they are generally under the pump here. PSG far from scintillating so far but in charge.

    PSG 0-0 Reims

Hugo Ekitike thought he had broken through moments ago but the flag was raised just as the Reims front man was thinking about his finish. He looked slick though and had acres to run into, which bodes well for the away side if they can just be a touch more efficient.
