Scottish League 2
Leaders Kelty Hearts will be confident of extending their season-long unbeaten home record as they entertain an Edinburgh City side they have already beaten twice and who seem to be in the middle of a January squad rebuild after a disappointing first half the season.
Chasing duo Annan Athletic and Forfar Athletic meet up with the hosts unbeaten in eight as they look to avoid a third consecutive 2-0 defeat of the season against the Loons.
Bottom side Cowdenbeath have won just once in 19 outings as they visit fourth-top Stenhousemuir.
Stranraer are without a win in four as they host a Stirling Albion side who, like themselves, have dropped out of the top four after one win in six outings.
Elgin City are unbeaten in four as they host an Albion Rovers side who have won just once in seven games.
Scottish League 1
There's no doubt who the form team are in League 1, with Paul Hartley's Cove Rangers unbeaten in 14 outings and having won their latest eight, but Stewart Petrie's second-top Montrose head up to Aberdeen unbeaten in 14 league outings themselves.
The two sides have already drawn both their match-ups this season and another tight affair is likely.
Third-top Airdrieonians are seeking a fifth consecutive victory as they entertain a Falkirk side who ended a run five straight defeats by thrashing Dumbarton 6-2 last weekend and who won on their last visit there in August.
Alloa Athletic are without a win in five as they host a managerless Queen's Park side who have won only once in nine outings and who have not beaten them in 16 meetings since November 2008.
Second-bottom Dumbarton have lost five in a row as they entertain bottom-of-the-table East Fife, wh are themselves nine without a win, while Peterhead and Clyde meet at Balmoor having both lost 1-0 to leaders Cove last time out.
Dunfermline Athletic v Hamilton Academical (15:00)
The Pars find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Championship table without a win in five outings under new manager John Hughes and having hit rock bottom with last weekend's 5-0 rout away to Morton.
Accies are heading in the opposite direction and have only lost once in their last five outings and are unbeaten in three away from home.
Hamilton beat today's hosts 1-0 at home in December after a 0-0 draw at the start of the season and are unbeaten in five meetings with the Fifers.
Ayr United v Greenock Morton (15:00)
Morton, who thumped Dunfermline 5-0 in Greenock last weekend, are without an away win in five trips from Cappielow, while Ayr are looking for a third consecutive victory, having won two in a row at home without conceding a goal.
The two sides have drawn twice this season already, with United unbeaten in the last four meetings between the sides.
Raith Rovers v Arbroath (15:00)
Rovers are another side whose title challenge has suffered in recent weeks and they are without a win in four outings, having won just once in six.
Arbroath too. Although Dick Campbell's side remain top, they lost 1-0 away to Ayr last weekend after being held by Caley Thistle.
However, that was their only defeat in 13 games.
Rovers left Gayfield with a goalless draw in December after beating Campbell's side in Kirkcaldy 2-1 in October.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Queen of the South (15:00)
Caley Thistle's title challenge has stuttered in recent weeks and they are without a win in three outings, while Queens arrive on the back of two disappointing home defeats without scoring - and without a win on the road in seven.
Billy Dodds' side have won both meetings between the sides 2-1 this season.
With at least two games in hand on some of the other teams in the league, can Kelty Hearts be caught this season? They today face Edinburgh City, who are trying to break free from the pack in the middle of the table.
Elgin City vs Albion Rovers is probably the pick of the bunch today in League 2 as the sides who currently sit in eighth and ninth face-off. Every team from fourth to ninth will have one eye on the play-off spot, for relegation never mind promotion, and every point is crucial.
Stranraer v Stirling Albion, sixth v seventh, is also a game with big implications on the race to beat the playoff scrap.
It's first against second in the third tier as Cove Rangers host Montrose, with the Aberdeen side able to finish the day a possible 10 points clear at the summit of the table.
It is also second-bottom against bottom as Dumbarton welcome East Fife to the C&G Systems Stadium. The Fifers need three points to remain within touching distance of the Sons. Should they lose, they will be eight points adrift.
Queen's Park and Falkirk will both be desperate for three points in their games to try to keep some sort of pace with the top three.
It's a big weekend of fixtures in the Championship, but it feels like every weekend is in this league this season.
Inverness could go top if Raith Rovers beat Arbroath...or Rovers could go joint top on points if they beat Arbroath and Caley thistle drop points against Queen of the South. The Dick Campbell juggernaut could also end the day four points clear at the top of the table.
In the bottom half of the table, Ayr United could put further space between themselves and the bottom three. Meanwhile, Dunfermline Athletic could lift themselves off the foot of the table should other results go their way.
The Championship remains - for now - a league of two halves, but there is a lot to play for up and down the table.

Partick Thistle struck a late leveller against Kilmarnock as it finished 1-1 at Firhill.
Oli Shaw put the Ayrshire side up 1-0 from the penalty spot before Thistle's Ross Docherty scored to make it 1-1.
