It could be a long evening for bottom side Doncaster, who already find themselves 2-0 down at home to league leaders Rotherham - Ben Wiles doubling the Millers' lead.

Rotherham fans will be even happier to hear that second-placed Wigan have fallen behind to Matty Taylor's goal for Oxford United, at the end of a fine team move.

Elsewhere, the Neil Harris era at Gillingham has got off to a good start. Danny Lloyd's penalty has put them a goal up at home to fellow strugglers Crewe.

Runaway leaders Forest Green have fallen behind at play-off chasers Port Vale.

Can anyone stop Forest Green Rovers from pulling away from the rest in League Two?

Rob Edwards' side have the chance to go 13 points clear at the top tonight as they head to Port Vale.

Second-placed Tranmere, who were on the receiving end of a 4-0 defeat by the leaders on Saturday, will hope not as they host Stevenage.

Rovers will be looking to open up some breathing space between themselves and Newport in third - and the chasing pack below the automatic promotion places.

Fifth-placed Northampton are one of those, who entertain Barrow, while seemingly-unstoppable Mansfield go looking for their ninth successive league win at Harrogate.

    Swindon, in seventh, host Crawley.

At the other end, third-from-bottom Colchester will look to put a bit more of a gap between themselves and the bottom two when they play Rochdale.

  16. Owls boss Moore absent with Covidpublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

Sheff Wed v Morecambe (19:45 GMT)

We wish Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore well in his recovery from Covid-19.

The former centre-back, 47, contracted pneumonia when he last tested positive for the virus in April.

We hope to see him back on the sidelines soon.

  17. League One previewpublished at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

Points up for grabs at both ends of the table

Some intriguing plot lines in the offing this evening in our six League One fixtures....

    top 6Image source, .

Leaders Rotherham head to bottom-of-the-table Doncaster as they try and keep second-placed Wigan at bay.

The Latics, who have two matches in hand on The Millers and are just a point behind, host Oxford United, who are on the charge under Karl Robinson.

Offers were turned down by the club on deadline day for penalty-king midfielder Cameron Brannagan as the Us look to maintain their recent impressive form.

For those down the other end of the table, there's a chance to collect some vital points.....

    bottom 6Image source, .

As well as Doncaster, Gillingham, Crewe, Morecambe and AFC Wimbledon are all in action tonight.

Neil Harris takes charge of Gillingham for the first time at home to fellow strugglers Crewe, Morecambe will hope to climb out of the relegation zone when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday while Wimbledon will look to turn their form around against Cheltenham.

  18. Hatters hoping to keep on top six coat-tailspublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

Swansea City v Luton Town (19:45 GMT)

    SwanseaImage source, Rex Features

Welshman Nathan Jones takes his Luton side to the city of Swansea tonight with the Hatters hoping to move within three points of the play-offs.

Just the one defeat in their past seven has kept them in contention and seen them take points off promotion-chasers Fulham, Bournemouth and Blackburn in the process.

Swansea, meanwhile, have sadly not been able to get their campaign into any sort of gear in Russell Martin's first year in charge.

They have just the one win in their past seven, in stark contrast to their visitors tonight, and will want to do as much as they can as quick as they can to move further away from the bottom three.

Swansea XI: Fisher; Cabango, Naughton, Bennett, Christie, Downes, Grimes (capt), Manning, Ntcham, Obafemi, Wolf.

Subs: Hamer, Burns, Latibeaudiere, Smith, Fulton, Joseph, Piroe.

Luton XI: Shea, Bree, Bell, Burke, Osho, Naismith, Campbell, Mpanzu, Lansbury, Onyedinma, Hylton.

Subs: Steer, Potts, Lockyer, Mendes Gomes, Berry, Cornick, Jerome.

  19. Two sides seeking consistencypublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

    Millwall v Preston (19:45 GMT)

    MillwallImage source, PA Media

Play-off chat is quite possibly nothing more than fanciful for these two sides going into this one.

Millwall ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday when they beat West Brom 2-0, thanks to goals from Benik Afobe and Mason Bennett.

Preston, on the other hand, are just a point and a couple of places above Millwall and have just the one win in their past five matches.

Consistency is what both sides will need from hereon if they are to make a late dash for the top six.

Millwall XI: Bialkowski; Hutchinson (capt), Cooper, Wallace, Kieftenbeld, Mitchell, McNamara, Malone, Burke, Bennett, Afobe.

Subs: Long, Pearce, Evans, Burey, Mahoney, Saville, Wallace.

Preston XI: Iversen; Van den Berg, Lindsay, Hughes, Whiteman, Ledson, Potts, Cunningham (capt), McCann, Riis, Evans.

Subs: Ripley, Bauer, Diaby, Earl, Browne, Sinclair, Archer.
