Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper told BBC Radio 5 Live: "Everyone knows Nottingham Forest is a huge club in this country. I knew that as well. Until you get inside it, that's when you truly understand how big it is,

"I want the team and myself to have the best possible connection with supporters. It's such a unique place.

"I feel responsible in not letting anyone down. That's my focus. I try to do the best I can for myself and the players.

"When you get here you realise how special the place is as a club and a city. The home games remind me of that every single day.

"I know Brendan personally and he is a manager of a rival club but he has been a leading light for British coaches for a while now. You have to recognise that, coming through the academy system of coaching then taking the plunge into the first-team and doing so well.

"He has always played youngsters, attacking football and is a good guy. You have to respect that."

This is a bit of a free hit for Nottingham Forest. It is going to be a raucous atmosphere and everyone is really looking forward to it. There is a lot of quality in this Forest side, they will be confident.

It really is a remarkable job that Steve Cooper has done at Forest. Bottom of the Championship when he took over, they're now eyeing potential promotion.

A big club with big expectations that has been dormant and lurching through mediocrity for too long.

Should be a cracking atmosphere here with these demanding home fans getting their teeth into a derby.

As for Leicester, they've made changes but Brendan Rodgers has not gone weak. Still plenty of big names in that City side as they look to continue their Cup defence.

The return of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi from the Africa Cup of Nations is very welcome for a team that have struggled to find consistency at any point this campaign.

Lewis Grabban is undoubtedly a big loss for Forest, not just in this tie but in their quest to force their way into the play-off picture. They are currently just skirting around the bottom edge, looking to take advantage of any slips above them.

Keinan Davis has scored in his two matches, though. He'll be a threat to the Foxes.

Nottingham Forest are boosted by the return of captain Joe Worrall, who has missed three matches after suffering a broken rib and he comes in for Jack Colback.

Forest are without 13-goal top scorer Lewis Grabban, who scored the winner against Arsenal in round three, as he sustained an ankle injury against Cardiff last time out and is set to miss two months of action, with Keinan Davis starting.

Sam Surridge, signed on transfer deadline day from Stoke, is among the substitutes.

Nottingham Forest XI: Samba, Lowe, McKenna, Cook, Spence, Worrall, Garner, Zinckernagel, Yates, Johnson, Davis.

Subs: Horvath, Figueiredo, Colback, Cafu, Laryea, Davis, Silva, Surridge, Ojeda.

Leicester make three changes from the side that drew 1-1 against Brighton on 23 January.

Danny Ward is in goal instead of Kasper Schmeichel, while Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho both start after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon as their country Nigeria were beaten 1-0 by Tunisia in the last 16.

Striker Jamie Vardy is a month away from a return because of a hamstring injury, defender Jonny Evans faces another six weeks out with a thigh injury and Wesley Fofana, who broke his leg in pre-season, is not going to return to training for another two weeks.

Leicester XI: Ward, Justin, Amartey, Soyuncu, Thomas, Tielemans, Ndidi, Lookman, Maddison, Barnes, Iheanacho.

Subs: Schmeichel, Ricardo, Choudhury, Albrighton, Soumare, Dewsbury-Hall, Vestergaard, Perez, Daka.

    Liverpool

    • This is just the second time under Jürgen Klopp that Liverpool will participate in the fifth round of the FA Cup, with their previous appearance being in 2019-20 with an away defeat to Chelsea.
    • Trent Alexander-Arnold recorded his 15th assist of the season across all competitions; this is the most by any Premier League player in 2021-22, as well as the joint-most for Alexander-Arnold in a single season of his career (also 15 in 18-19 and 19-20).
    • Five of Diogo Jota’s 15 goals for Liverpool this season have been scored via headers – indeed, this is the most headed goals netted by a player for a Premier League club in 2021-22.
  14. 'A massive thank you to everyone at LFC'published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff

    Liverpool

Liverpool goalscorer Harvey Elliott tells ITV: "It is still hard to put into words at the moment, this is what I am in the team to do, score and assist and thankfully it came today in front of the fans after a long time out. It is my job but a moment myself and my family will remember.

"It (the goal) wasn't too bad, watching Diogo Jota who has been banging them in left, right and centre and getting a few tips from him.

"The list goes on but one man most important is Joe Lewis, one of the physios. He took me in the early hours until late at night and got me strong again. Big shoutout to my family, friends, mum and dad who helped and supported me throughout. A massive thank you to everyone at LFC, including the fans."

  15. Elliott return a 'fairytale'published at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to BBC Sport about Harvey Elliott's return: "It is like a fairytale. It was bad start at Leeds and from that moment he was in a better place than the rest of us. We were all shocked but he is a special kid, it took a while and the medical team did an incredible job and he was patient enough to to do the necessary things.

"Scoring a goal in front of the Kop makes it a fairytale. The 12 o clock kick-off is maybe not the most emotional but when he came on it felt like 8 o clock on a European night with floodlights. The crowd were there and celebrated it, it was nice."

  16. 'Performance was good'published at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff

    Cardiff City

Cardiff goalscorer Rubin Colwill to BBC Sport: "It was unreal from arriving and to warming up, one of the best feelings ever.

"I just thought, don't miss, keep a cool head and find the corner. It would have been nice to still be in the game and maybe equalise."

On penalty appeal: "Stone cold. Maybe it was 50-50 and could have gone either way. We had a bit of misfortune with the penalty not going our way. Just need that bit of luck.

"The performance was good against one of the best teams in the world.

"A goal is a boost in confidence. But hopefully we can get three points in midweek now."

It has been nearly eight years since these East Midlands rivals last met - a 2-2 draw at the City Ground in February 2014 in the Championship before Leicester went on to win promotion to the Premier League.

Since then, the Foxes have become English champions, reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, regularly finished inside the top 10, won the FA Cup and had more European adventures.

Less than 30 miles away, Nottingham Forest have had to watch on enviously with a succession of disappointing seasons in the second tier.

In those eight years, Forest have changed their manager 12 times in a desperate attempt to return to the Premier League, which they last played in during the 1998-99 season.

But there is confidence this could be their year and the board have finally made the right managerial change. Bottom of the league with only four points when Steve Cooper came in after Chris Hughton’s sacking in September, Forest now sit eighth in the Championship, only two points off the play-offs.

They’ve already dumped Arsenal out of the FA Cup, can they do the same to the reigning holders?

  18. 'Harvey's goal a touching moment'published at 14:22 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to ITV: "A lot of nice little stories around in the game. I think everybody agrees that all the other goals were important too. It was a really tough game. It is all fine so a good afternoon. Luis came on there is a little bruise and a cut there. Everybody says 'welcome to England'. There will be a scar so he knows what he did in the first game.

On Harvey Elliott: "Harvey was unlucky with the injury but lucky with the whole process afterwards. Everything went really well. He did an incredible job, the medical department did an incredible job. He is a fearless boy and a great footballer so all these things. There are not all good things when you get an injury like that but when you are young you deal with it. And he did. Now he is back and it is really nice. Getting the goal was a touching moment."

On Diogo Jota: "He jumps high, he has timing and he is a very skilled boy. He has a nose for these situations and is involved in everything we do. In these games you need an opener and that was the one for us today."

  19. 'Proud but frustrated'published at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff

    Cardiff City

Cardiff boss Steve Morison, speaking to ITV Sport: "I'm really disappointed that we conceded a set-piece and it was two poor goals that gave them the other two. Coming away from Anfield frustrated that we have given them three poor goals, it is tough, because we want to win and to do things right.

We had to withstand some pressure but I thought we did it well. We restricted them to long-distance shots if they were going to have any. We had a couple of moments and could have had a pen. If it is outside the box I think it gets given a foul. That is how football goes. And then the moment at the start of the second-half with the keeper. I personally think my striker has to get there first and go around him. When it doesn't happen you don't what it will be after that. So proud but frustrated."

  20. A 'day to remember' for Elliottpublished at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff

    Liverpool

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota: "Cup games are always hard, even when playing lower league teams and we know the magic of the FA Cup.

"It was crucial to get the first goal, it is hard to get the space against a low block and in the end we got three and are in the next stage.

"If it came when I had the first chance it would be better."

On Harvey Elliott's return: "Hopefully first of many (goals). Big injuries is a long road to recovery and working on your own in the gym. He scored in his return and a day to remember for him and his family."
