What can Athletic Bilbao do to get back in the game?

They are being overrun down the right through Rodrygo. Mikel Balenziaga has been very busy!

Oihan Sancet then picks it up, cuts inside and fizzes a dangerous effort towards the top right corner. Thibaut Courtois was stretching but it's JUST wide!

Unai Simon has to make a save to his left as Casemiro drives down the right and sees a gap at the near post.

Rodrygo has had plenty of touches. The latest is out wide to Lucas Vasquez on the overlap. His cross is deflected behind for another corner.

Luka Modric picks it up on the far side but his dinked cross is cleared. Bilbao look well organised.

Well it's not been a classic so far. Neither team has really gone all out for it yet.

Rodrygo tries to cut it back but it's put behind for a corner. Toni Kroos swings it in and it falls dangerously inside the six-yard area before it's eventually cleared.

Vinicius Junior tees up Karim Benzema on the edge of the box and he's allowed far too much time.

He's able to touch, set himself and curl it towards the far corner. It gets a slight touch on the way, before it flies inches past the post.

There were a few appeals from Bilbao after that counter-attack. Iñaki Williams let the ball roll across him, David Alaba slid in to make the challenge and the ball seemed to roll up across his arm before he cleared it.
