    Kidderminster 0-0 West Ham

West Ham get themselves in trouble with a poor pass that allows A,ari Morgan-Smith to nip in and draw a foul from Issa Diop. Get it in the mixer!

Former West Ham and England hero Geoff Hurst is in the crowd today. He knew how to score goals on pitches far, far worse than this.

Andrew Edwards: Seemed a bit harsh that Chelsea picked such a strong team vs. Plymouth Argyle today, but 0:1 - what a start! Deserved the lead actually. Come on, the Pilgrims!

Give me a Cup tie on a windy, chopped up pitch in front of a few thousand rowdy locals between a huge under dog and a big-hitter over an all-Premier League tie every time.

It is a bit uncomfortable for the Hammers at the moment. Ben Johnson forced into an awkward clearance at the back post.

Watching the replay of the goal again, what a delivery swung in my Jordan Houghton. Macaulay Gillesphey just had to help it on.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was stuck on his line, had no chance.

  9. CLOSE!published at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2022

    Chelsea 0-1 Plymouth

Chelsea are shell-shocked and nearly concede a second!

It's Panchute Camara who tries to carefully place one into the corner but Malang Sarr, positioned perfectly, makes a vital goalsaving block.

    Kidderminster 0-0 West Ham

West Ham try to dance their way through the massed Harriers bodies in the box. First Said Benrahma and then Andriy Yarmolenko. Neither can find the space they need to shoot.

Tom Lawrence: Did Chelsea misread "Plymouth" as "Bayern" with that line-up?

    Yeh, easily done.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 12:40 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2022

    Chelsea 0-1 Plymouth

Chelsea go to the other end and almost equalise immediately.

Romelu Lukaku, culpable for the opening goal, lays the ball off for Mateo Kovacic to rattle the crossbar for the left edge of the box.

    Matt Upson
    Former England defender

The delivery into the box is absolutely superb. Lukaku, for me, has to do better, he has to be stronger.

It's a beautifully flighted ball. We've got an FA Cup tie on our hands!

    Suddenly, Kidderminster are on top.

The ball is worked right for Omari Sterling-James, but his low bobbling shot is saved.

    Harriers almost follow Plymouth's lead!

Their first real opening - the first real one of the game - falls to Sam Austin, but he fires his shot in range for Alphonse Areola to save.

Almost the perfect couple of minutes for the underdogs.

Bit underwhelming this after events at Stamford Bridge...

West Ham win the first corner. It doesn't bring anything but a cheer from the home fans as Ben Johnson is set up for a shot he fires wide.

The Hammers doing a good job of taking any early sting out of the home side, though. Play is entirely in the Harriers half.

    WOWWWW!

First attack for Plymouth and they score.

It comes via a free-kick which is curled into the danger area by Jordan Houghton from the left. Defender Macaulay Gillesphey gets the better of marker Romelu Lukaku and flicks a header into the far corner of the net.

The Plymouth fans are in dreamland, the cup shock is on.

A cross from the right from Ryan Fredericks flicks off a head and skips through the area. Potential chance for a Hammers player to conjure something but fortune doesn't favour them with the deflection.
