Nine months since Christian Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020, the midfielder scored within moments of coming off the bench to make his international return.

This has been a fun night of friendly action, starting with Republic of Ireland's 2-2 draw with Beligum before goals galore in Amsterdam as the Netherlands beat Denmark.

There were also wins for England, Spain and Germany.

MISSED PENALTY

There's an incredible finish in Germany.

Israel have won a 94th minute penalty but Yonatan Cohen's attempt is saved by Kevin Trapp!

Denmark have the ball in the net, but it won't count.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg nods in at the back post from a corner but he pushed his marker in the process.

Andreas Skov Olsen does well to cut in from the right and squeeze a low effort on goal, but Mark Flekken gets down smartly to keep it out.

Amsterdam is the next stop for Hansi Flick's side and a heavyweight friendly against the Netherlands on Tuesday. That could be a cracker judging by how the two have performed tonight. A ninth straight win for Germany in midweek will really make people sit up and take notice.

There's a Mexican wave threatening to break out in the Johan Cruyff Arena, but it's struggling to get beyond a ripple at the moment.
