  1. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 0-0 Lithuania

Chiedozie Ogbene is upended by Rolandas Baravykas and the hosts have a free-kick in a dangerous position on the left.

Conor Hourihane pulls the ball back to Ryan Manning, who blazes wide from the edge of the box. The Swansea man has been heavily involved in the opening quarter of an hour.

  2. Tweak to the system

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

    Mark Sterling

BBC Sport NI at Windsor Park

The merits of analysing systems and team shapes can be discussed, but it does look like Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough has tweaked his go-to 3-5-2 formation to something more like a 3-4-3.

Rather than a front two of Josh Magennis and Gavin Whyte, as expected, Whyte and Niall McGinn appear to be flanking Magennis in a front three.

The three at the back is as expected, but with Paddy McNair and debutant Paddy Lane in the wide positions of the four in the middle, with Steven Davis and Ali McCann in central midfield.

It has to be said, though, that Lane has been pinned back for most of this opening period and hasn't had a chance to get forward much.

  3. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

The small group of Hungary fans in the far corner are giving it stacks. Nobody has told them this is just a friendly.

    Great stuff.

  4. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

Zsolt Nagy is almost in but Dan Ballard, tipped to be the future of the NI defence once Jonny Evans and Craig Cathcart call it a day, shows a great turn of speed to get in ahead of his man and win a free-kick.

  5. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

We've just seen a replay of that Davis effort from behind the goal. It looks like it's going miles wide but curls in at the last second.

Such a shame it didn't go in. Unbelievable tekkers.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORK

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

    Oh Steven Davis! So close!

Zsolt Nagy plays a sloppy pass inside outside the area and Davis is onto it, quick as a flash.

He tries a first-time effort with the outside of his boot and it curls in at the last moment, but not quite enough and it clips the outside of the post.

    Great effort.

  7. DISALLOWED GOAL

    Republic of Ireland 0-0 Lithuania

The Republic of Ireland's celebrations are cut short.

Ryan Manning is involved yet again, sending in another low cross which Chiedozie Ogbene slots home, but the forward was offside when the ball came in.

  8. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

    John O'Neill

Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

This has a look of a friendly all over it. There's more emphasis placed on possession rather than what you do with it.

  9. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 0-0 Lithuania

Callum Robinson forces the first corner of the match after more fine play down the left flank.

Arunas Klimavicius' clearance falls to Ryan Manning, whose ambitious effort from the edge of the area flies wide of the target.

    Why not indeed?

  10. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

Hungary are targeting Paddy Lane on his debut.

It's a clear tactic down the right, but so far the NI defence are holding firm, with keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell racing out of his goal to deal with a stray long ball.

  11. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

More of that please, Gavin Whyte!

He picks the ball up midway through the Hungary half, charges at the visiting defence but slips as he is about to have a go from 20 yards.

It could have been brilliant, sadly it wasn't.

  12. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 0-0 Lithuania

Ryan Manning beats Egidijus Vaitkunas down the left and swings in a low cross, but Lithuania goalkeeper Dziugas Bartkus is alert to the danger.

  13. Post update

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

Hungary are looking to get at the home defence out wide and win an early corner off Ciaron Brown, which comes to nothing.

  14. KICK-OFF

    Republic of Ireland 0-0 Lithuania

And off we go in Dublin!

  15. Post update

Republic of Ireland v Lithuania (19:45 BST)

The players gather around the centre circle to remember those suffering at the hands of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

  16. KICK-OFF

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Hungary

Off we go in Belfast! It's not the biggest game in this famous stadium but those in attendance will be hoping for a night to remember.

  17. Post update

Northern Ireland v Hungary (19:45 BST)

Northern Ireland last faced Hungary way back in qualifying for Euro 2016, and there was late drama both home and away.

The dream run to the finals in France began with a comeback win - NI's first away victory in four years - when Niall McGinn and Kyle Lafferty scored in the final five minutes to send the travelling support wild in a 2-1 win.

If you think that was dramatic, just wait until the return game...

    Kyle Lafferty

Lafferty was the hero once again as Michael O'Neill's men defied the odds to all but book their place at Euro 2016.

Things were looking bleak when Richard Guzmics gave Hungary the lead before Chris Baird was sent off with nine minutes to go.

However, cometh the hour, cometh the man. Lafferty smashed home in the third minute of injury-time to earn the 10 men a valuable point and put one foot on the plane to the finals.

It was one of those special nights at Windsor Park. Good times never seemed so good.

  19. 'A strong, strong team'

Northern Ireland v Hungary (19:45 BST)

    Tommy Wright

Former Northern Ireland goalkeeper on Radio Ulster

I think it’s a stronger team than we had on Friday night. I think it will be a back three.

It’s a strong, strong team – probably as strong a team as we could put out tonight. Hopefully the crowd will give the team a lift and help them put in a good performance.

  20. Post update

Republic of Ireland v Lithuania (19:45 BST)

The anthems are under way in Dublin too. Kick-off is just a few moments away.
