    Giorgos Giakoumakis' second hat-trick in five games helps Celtic sweep in-form Ross County aside to move six points clear of Rangers at the top of the Premiership.

    The Greek striker scored an early double then set up a Daizen Maeda tap-in to secure the three points within the opening 26 minutes.

    County defender Kayne Ramsay was sent off moments later and Giakoumakis added his third from the penalty spot after a hand ball.

    Pressure on reigning champions Rangers as they visit Dundee tomorrow.

    A massive three points at McDiarmid Park for St Johnstone.

    A late Callum Hendry wonder-strike sent the home fans wild as the Perth side came from behind to beat Motherwell.

    Kevin van Veen opened the scoring before Hendry cancelled it out before the interval.

    St Johnstone are now four points clear of Dundee at the bottom of the table.

    Dominant Hearts stretched their lead in third place in the Scottish Premiership to 14 points as they comfortably beat Livingston at Tynecastle.

    Beni Baningime knocked in an early goal, and Barrie McKay scored his first for Hearts with a stunning volley.

    And Robbie Neilson's side could clinch third place and European football for next season before the league splits.

    It means Livingston drop to sixth in the table, one point clear of three teams in the battle for a top six spot.

    One blow for Hearts was the loss of Baningime to injury, with the midfielder landing awkwardly in the first half.

    Hibernian had led through Calvin Ramsay's own goal but two spot-kicks turned the game on its head - the first a very harsh award, the second resulting in a red card for Ryan Porteous.

    Vicente Besuijen settled a first league win of 2022 for the hosts with a thumping finish.
