The Liverpool fans are in no rush to exit St James' Park. They are still singing and cheering while the rest of the stadium has almost empited.
This was a big test for the Reds against a side that had won its last six home games in a row and they came through.
All eyes on Manchester City at Leeds later.
The League One season has just ended.
Wigan and Rotherham have been promoted and MK Dons, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland and Wycombe are in the play-offs.

Liverpool dominated. Newcastle tried their best but the quality was too much for them. We can see how much this meant to Jurgen Klopp; he knows what this means, especially with all the changes he made.

James Milner clocked 9.6km and 252 intensive runs before going off.
No one had covered more ground at the time. Bruno Guimaraes had managed two extra intensive runs.
In fairness to Milner, he's 36 and yet still finding a way to match players at key moments.
Newcastle 0-1 Liverpool
Oooh! A tester from Bruno Guimaraes.
The Brazilian finds space on the edge of the box, gets the ball out of his feet and fires low towards goal, but Alisson is down well.

Stephen Warnock

Alisson is a phenomenal goalkeeper. His understanding of when to come out and closing the angles down is superb. As soon as strikers come forward they look up and see him coming out.

Final change for Eddie Howe's side.
Jacob Murphy is the man on, Emil Krafth makes way.
