Iran are putting some pressure on now but Ramin Rezaeian has two crosses, one blocked and one over everyone.

This is a massive opportunity for Iran to play for their lives and make their country proud. They were clearly playing for a draw against England but against Wales they were excellent. They were more confident and really good going forward and this is what we expect from Iran tonight. They have to put on a good performance if they want to beat USA.

Yunus Musah plays for USA today on his 20th birthday, the first player to play at the 2022 World Cup on his birthday.

He's also the youngest player to play a World Cup match on his birthday since Lionel Messi, who turned 19 on the day Argentina played Mexico in 2006.

The last player to score a World Cup goal on his birthday was Patrick Vieira for France against Togo in 2006, on the day he turned 30.

They probably need that creativity in the final third. Gio Reyna is a really good player. Adams and Musah in the middle have the energy, legs and physically for an intense game. But, at some point, you need someone who will link up the play with Pulisic and Reyna would be a perfect player to fit in that USA team.

A draw would see the USA become the third team eliminated from a 32-team World Cup despite ending the group stage unbeaten.

Belgium and New Zealand bowed out in 1998 and 2010 respectively after three draws.

The USA have drawn against Wales and England in their first two games.

Beyranvand is a true warrior. Queiroz probably trusts him so much and that's why he decided to bring him back into the team. He is brave and hopefully he is OK today.

Curious that Gio Reyna is still not playing but they say he does not have the fitness for the game.

In the attacking position it requires players going really hard and really strong. But the coach Gregg Berhalter says it will be really important that the forwards receive really good delivery.

I first spotted one of these mini football cages at an event showing Argentina's victory over Mexico this weekend.

Now I see them everywhere and I realise why I missed them initially - they are so popular that there are always people crowding around.

You basically sit each end of the cage and try to score through the legs of your opponent with a mini football. It's simple... but very competitive.

These two American fans were going all out when I went over earlier. "Where's VAR? That was unfair!" shouted the man on the right, who was quite clearly losing by a lot.

His cool opponent just sat there, arms folded, smiling, and feeling very smug.

Iran scored twice past the 97-minute mark in their 2-0 win over Wales to keep alive their hopes of qualifying.

They had lost 6-2 to England in the opener.

There is obviously a lot riding on this match in a football sense but there is no hiding from the fact it is also politically charged.

There has been months of unrest in Iran amid a backdrop of anti-government protests.

These two nations cut diplomatic relations in 1980 and Iran has accused the US and other foreign adversaries of instigating the protests in their country, with the US government imposing sanctions on Iranian officials over the crackdown.

There was heightened security outside the stadium but as I walked around, supporters were mingling as they have been doing throughout the tournament so far.
