But Kylian Mbappe is already on 30, at the age of 23. Only seven players have ever scored more for France.

Surely he's going to break whatever number Giroud finishes on.

What a goal - no surprise that it comes from the superstar Kylian Mbappe. He gets the ball in his own half and drives forward. He has the support from Theo Hernandez and he has a look around to say where are you? And puts it in Mbappe's path.

What a goal - it was perfection.

Christian Eriksen is the only Denmark player on the pitch with an xG in the absence of Cornelius – a hefty 0.02.

Superb play from Kylian Mbappe. Right inside his own half, the touch to turn the defender and then the touch to get away. He's hoping it might just open up for him to go on his left foot and have a shot.

Superb pace to have the chance to have that shot - he just glides along with ease.

This is vintage Kylian Mbappe until the finish. He spins a defender on the halfway line and races towards the box. Nobody can catch him. His shot towards the top corner is parried away by Kasper Schmeichel, though.

Kylian Mbappe has the freedom to go basically where he wants - he ran past Olivier Giroud and then looked to get in behind. I think he should do that more often because that is a way that France can get in behind with the ability of Antoine Griezmann and his passes.

Almost a scare in the French defence. Martin Braithwaite is miles offside from Christian Eriksen's ball - but the flag is late as happens nowaways - and Dayot Upamecano does well to tackle him before they know for sure he was off.

Apt really that Denmark are playing in a ground that looks as if it's made of Lego.

Christian Eriksen plays the corner deep and it's headed back across the area but Hugo Lloris is brave to get there in a crowd of players.
