After digging out Eduardo Camavinga's ability at left back he ended that half with the most touches, most duels won, made the most clearances and interceptions.

Didn't do badly in the end then, here's his heatmap:

Demark need to be patient, keep doing what they're doing. I can see the goal coming. It's going to open up.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2022

Right, can Tunisia find the goal their first-half performance deserved?

    We're back under way.

You can see this France team hasn't played together - even though it is the second string they are full of quality but some players have compromised to play out of position.

They do it because they want to be out on the field but it's not the France we usually have and that gives Tunisia hope.

Mat Ryan has been equal to everything that has come his way so far. Unless we get news of a Tunisia goal, a clean sheet will do the job for Australia.

The pressure is firmly on Denmark at the moment. Will we see an immediate onslaught after the break?

Tunisia are pushing so much and they have chances but they do not have the composure to finish their actions.

They need to take their time in the final third.

If we have a goal here, it will change the narrative of the game.

You hope for a set-piece - they had one and scored but unfortunately it was offside.

In these kind of games, they are waiting for that moment, a corner kick, a free-kick, something like that.

They are working so hard to get to the final third - once they are there, they don't know what to do. You feel for them because you know how badly they want this goal.

They can make it happen today - they can beat France.

Australia have only won one of their 10 World Cup games in which they were drawing at half time (D4, L5), winning 2-1 v Serbia in 2010.

Still, a draw today will see them through as things stand.

  12. Will we see changes soon?published at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2022

Tunisia were the better side that half and captain Wahbi Khazri was dangerous. France were crying out for some quality but with the pace they have up front they are obviously a threat. I don't think it will be long until we see one or two players come on for France just to get this one over the line. France are through of course, but they won't want to go into the last 16 off the back of a disappointing result here.

France have not had a shot on target.

Their two shots off target in the first half against Tunisia, is the fewest they have produced in the first half of a group stage match at a World Cup since 1966.

Australia can be happy because the result is what it is but I think Denmark are playing well enough to get the goal that they need. They are getting into some dangerous areas and it feels like a matter of time before they find that pass and when they do, in my opinion, they'll be getting what they deserve.

So, no dramatic changes in the Group D table so far. Everyone has an extra point.

Hopefully, for us neutrals at least, there's a bit more movement after the break.

There were 15 minutes in the first half when Denmark dominated and Australia came back into it with sheer energy but honours even is about right.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2022

    Australia 0-0 Denmark

Here come Australia. A sucker-punch before the interval?

No! Good defending by Andreas Christensen to intercept the cross just as that attack was starting to look dangerous.

That will be all for the first half. Australia are heading through as it stands.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2022

Tunisia have been the better side but no goals so far.

Will they regret not making the most of their domination?
