It was such a poor penalty but Hugo Lloris does go early.

    It's the right decision.

    Sho: Mbappe is unstoppable

John: Well do we really want to beat Senegal now anyway

Aleks: This was a much closer game than the final score would tell, but in the end France's class out things beyond any reasonable doubt

  8. BreakingSaka set to start for England

    England v Senegal (19:00 GMT)

England manager Gareth Southgate is set to recall Arsenal's Bukayo Saka for the Three Lions' last-16 match against Senegal tonight.

Full live text on that game is coming up soonish.

  9. Post update

    France 3-0 Poland

Poland striker Arkadiusz Milik tries a bicycle kick but Hugo Lloris saves at his near post - and he was offside anyway.

  10. 'Very impressive'

    France 3-0 Poland

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC One

So young, 23 years old and he's playing the game as though he's in the park. He is an incredible footballer. He's just in a little bit of space, he has no right to score in that top corner.

The keeper gets a slight hand to it but there's power in the shot as well as direction.

    Very, very impressive.

  11. Post update

    France 3-0 Poland

With four goals and two assists, Kylian Mbappe has been directly involved in each of France's last six goals at the World Cup.

  12. INJURY TIME

    France 3-0 Poland

Five minutes added on. We were already into it when Kylian Mbappe got his second of the game.

  13. GOAL - France 3-0 Poland

    Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe LOVES a World Cup.

Marcus Thuram beats Matty Cash on the wing and finds Mbappe in the box. The 23-year-old takes a touch to get himself free and curls the ball into the far top corner. Perfect shot.

  14. YELLOW CARD

    France 2-0 Poland

Marcus Thuram beats Matty Cash to the ball and is brought down by the Poland player.

The Villa defender is booked and suspended for the quarter-final....

  15. SUBSTITUTION

    France 2-0 Poland

A couple of Poland changes - with Jan Bednarek and Kamil Grosicki coming on for their first minutes of the tournament. Nice touch from the manager, who knows this game has gone.

  16. 'Zielinski chance was Poland's moment'

    France 2-0 Poland

    Chris Sutton

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

On Piotr Zielinski's chance with the score at 0-0 in the first half...

That was the moment. That was the opportunity where the Poles could have raised the bar and got themselves in front and given France something to think about.

You've got to take your chances. Poland didn't do that and now it looks like they'll be heading out.

They've lacked that quality all tournament.

    Piotr Zielinski
  17. Post update

    France 2-0 Poland

It's just a France cruise now. No real competitive edge left - although as I say that Kylian Mbappe barges over a defender and concedes a free-kick.

  18. Post update

    France 2-0 Poland

Poland have only had one shot in this half - and not on target. Just not quite good enough.

  19. Post update

    France 2-0 Poland

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC One

There was a 15-20 minute spell in this game where I actually thought Poland might be able to get level but they didn't take it.
