Josip Juranovic drives down the Croatian right and lays off to Mario Pasalic, who swings in a low cross down the corridor of uncertainty.

There waits Ivan Perisic whose hunger gets him to the ball, but he can't connect cleanly.

Neymar has dropped off deep on the left in a bid to get hold of the ball, but each time he has done that - a few times in the last couple of minutes - he has quickly been closed down and dispossessed.

Everything half-decent that Brazil have done in the first few minutes has been greeted by an enormous roar of approval from the fans around me.

Down the other end of the pitch, the wall of yellow and green behind Alisson's goal has been bouncing up and down and singing throughout.

Brazil try to work some space in the Croatia penalty area, but they run out of grass. The flag goes up and the ball is deemed out.

Other than that speculative shot from Vinicius Junior there has not been any goal-mouth action.

There are a couple of blocks of Croatia fans behind one of the goals - well, a few rows anyway. They needed some help from Brazil supporters to unveil their massive flag during their anthem.

After those couple of sighters, Croatia pick up possession and patiently probe for an opening. All around the halfway line at the moment.
