Shall we take a look at how both sides have navigated their way into Sunday's showpiece?
Argentina v France (15:00 GMT)
Earlier this week, we asked you to pick a combined XI from the two squads - and this is who you picked.
It will not surprise you that Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe were the two most picked players, with the latter edging out his Paris St-Germain team-mate after being selected in more than 97.5% of teams, while Messi made 97.2%.
They are joined in a front three by Manchester City's Argentina forward Julian Alvarez (49%), seeing off France's Olivier Giroud (35%).
Aston Villa's Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (58%) beat Hugo Lloris (41%) to win the gloves, but is joined by only one team-mate - Manchester United's Lisandro Martinez (38%) - in the defensive unit. The centre-back gets in despite starting only two games in the tournament.
He is joined by Jules Kounde, Raphael Varane and Theo Hernandez, with the impressive Antoine Griezmann, Aurelien Tchouameni and Enzo Fernandez making up the midfield.
Argentina v France (15:00 GMT)
I remember having breakfast on the morning of the World Cup final in 2014, when Lionel Messi came into the room.
I was sat with Javier Mascherano and I said to him how I hoped that was the Messi who would score a couple of goals for us to win us the game.
It was impossible not to think like that, even when I was on the field, when I had him in my team. Everyone just thinks 'pass the ball to Messi' because he is the one who will make a difference.
That hasn't changed - he has been amazing at this tournament; always the main man and the true leader of the side, and I've been so pleased to see him enjoy himself at this World Cup.
Whatever the result against France, I am so proud of him and the rest of the team, but what I really want is to see him lifting the trophy this time - it will definitely be worth the wait.

Best Goal - Saka v Senegal. Best Player - Bellingham. Best Team - England. Biggest Surprise - Kane's penalty miss and England going out. Love England

Former England international Gary Neville to Sky Sports, talking about Gareth Southgate staying as England boss: "I'm happy. It is the right decision. When I was last week that it was going to be discussed in the New Year I don't think it would work leaving it to hang for so long. I felt as though it needed to be dealt it. The fact it has come out is welcome. It puts it to bed and allows everyone to focus for the next 18 months.
"There will be a proper succession plan now. I wouldn't have felt Gareth leaving, but it also didn't feel like him or England had a proper succession plan in place. It is the right thing to do. We have played well in the World Cup - we just came out the wrong side of a 50-50 match. That happens in football sometimes. We always want to an autopsy and someone to blame but I don't think it exists in this tournament."

Gareth Southgate’s decision to remain as England manager will be a cause for relief and celebration inside the Football Association after serious doubts hung over his future following the World Cup.
The relief will be because there appeared to be no firm succession plan in place had the 52-year-old decided to walk away after England’s elimination against France at the quarter-final stage in Qatar.
And the celebration will be because the FA has always been convinced Southgate is the manager to take England forward to Euro 2024 in Germany irrespective of the outcome at the World Cup.

Souq Waqif market in Doha has been a popular place for fans to gather before matches at this World Cup.
It's noisy right now as supporters of both France and Argentina mix together before the big kick-off.

A few people in France want Argentina to win. It is a big debate back home. Some people are saying they want Messi to win it basically and this is the last chance.
Even against their own country they think he deserves it so they will be happy if he wins.

We're now just FOUR HOURS away from the final.
That feels like a sensible time to ask who you fancy to win: Thumbs up for Argentina, thumbs down for France.

7th: Might as well, the players seem to like Southgate, otherwise we could have another Capello on our hands as there are literally no English candidates that would realistically be available. People should remember it's actually quite hard to win a major international tournament.
HeWhoDaresRodders: Southgate is probably the best English option available. He can build a good platform for future managers, but I don't see him going beyond last 4 or 8 in future tournaments.
England

It’s Berlin or bust for Gareth Southgate. July 14, 2024 - Euro 2024 final. Southgate has to show he has the in-game management skills to guide England past sides of substance in a tournament.
He has to win the Euros. No excuses. He has an outstanding squad.
