ANOTHER chance for the away side.

Morgan Gibbs-White skips away down their right and swings a low cross back for Sander Berge in the area.

To say this had been coming would be QUITE the understatement.

Moments after Morgan Gibbs-White's header had hit the inside of the post before being hacked away, Iliman Ndiaye makes no mistake from close in.

A corner lands very kindly for the Frenchman in the six-yard box and he swivels to smash home the equaliser.

    QPR 1-0 Sheff Utd

Nick B: As a Boro fan it would be an amazing achievement to get to the play-offs, but we were easily dispatched by Huddersfield and struggled to score against Bournemouth so I wouldn't fancy our chances if we do make it!

Middlesbrough are seventh in the table and host mid-table Stoke City on Saturday. Boro supporters will be hoping the R's can hold out in this one.

QPR striker Charlie Austin is one of a number of QPR players out of contract at the end of the season.

His goal this evening, a well-taken header, was just his fifth of the campaign and first since January.

He's 33 in July so getting towards the back end of his career but clearly still has something to offer in the EFL.

So far, so good for outgoing R's boss Mark Warburton.

Sheffield United have had more of the ball and more of the shots but, crucially, none of the goals.

Charlie Austin showed his class to head home from Albert Adomah's cross in what was the R's first effort of any kind after 31 minutes.

Either side of the goal the sixth-placed Blades have had the better of things but they're yet to make home goalkeeper Murphy Mahoney do any work worthy of the name.

Keith Rosser: 129 years since Blades won the first ever promotion play-off, lost four finals since then - the only team, with Reading, to lose finals at old & new Wembley and Millennium Stadium. So even if the Blades get there, recent history is not in our favour. Seventh place might be best.

Keith, like many other Blades fans, has been scarred by their numerous unsuccessful play-off campaigns. But records are there to be broken of course...
