Moments later, Che Adams races on to a McGinn lay-off and his shot is deflected behind. The keeper flaps at the ensuring corner, but Scotland can't force the ball home.

Elsewhere in Scotland's group, Ukraine have taken the lead away to Republic of Ireland.

Viktor Tsygankov got the goal to leave the hosts starting at a second defeat on the spin.
