    Welcome to Birmingham, where there have been quite a few different sporting activities going on this week.

    But, away from the Commonwealth Games, the only one that matters as far as fans of Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town are concerned is tonight's Championship meeting of two sides who finished at either ends of the table last season

    Town came third, just missing out on automatic promotion, before then also missing out on promotion via the play-offs.

    City, by contrast, finished 20th - and were only spared an anxious final week of the season by the points penalties suffered by Reading and Derby which kept Blues further away from danger than they would otherwise have been.

    But it's a new season, the slate has been wiped clean, both clubs are under new management. And both are looking for their first win . . .
