Hearts fans will undoubtedly be in good spirits after a convincing win at the weekend against Dundee United, but there should also be an element of caution.

Although Zurich have been forced to move their home leg of this Europa League play-off to St Gallen, around 80 miles east, the Swiss champions already have beaten Linfield home and away to reach this stage.

Indeed, it took an extra-time goal from Qarabag to knock them out of the Champions League qualifiers last month.

They have goals in their squad and a vastly experienced manager in Franco Foda, who took over in the summer after resigning as head coach of Austria.

Foda is desperate for victory over Hearts to relieve the pressure he finds himself under amid Zurich's winless start to the new league campaign.

  3. Why the stadium change?published at 17:20 British Summer Time 18 August 2022

    FC Zurich v Hearts (18:00)

Tonight's play-off first leg has been moved 80km to St Gallen's Kybunpark stadium due to a concert being held at Zurich's Letzigrund home.

I know what you're all asking: 'Who's playing?'... A quick Google search is telling me Swiss rock back Gola and pop singer Trauffer. Nah... me neither.

"Although it's not Zurich's home, it's still a difficult place," Hearts boss Robbie Neilson said on his pre-match press duties.

"It helps us a wee bit coming here. I don't expect the crowd to be as big as it would be in Zurich."

    FC Zurich v Hearts (18:00)

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson has made three changes to the line-up that started Sunday's convincing 4-1 win over Dundee United.

Liam Boyce drops out the attack along with Alan Forrest, while Michael Smith is also on the bench.

Replacing the outgoing trio are Peter Haring, Nathaniel Atkinson and Stephen Kingsley, who makes his first start of the season.

Neilson perhaps looking for a bit more security in his side?
