  1. Goodnight!published at 18:17 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

    FT: Hibernian 1-1 Hearts

Well there you have it, derby weekend in the SWPL is over. Draws in the Old Firm and the Edinburgh derby mean the big rivals share the spoils.

Glasgow City won the battle for Petershill Park and, more importantly, go two points clear at the top of the table, maintaining their 100% record for another weekend.

And in the Lanarkshire Derby, Motherwell triumphed 3-1 over Hamilton.

Down the bottom, Aberdeen got a vital win, beating Dundee United 2-1 at Tannadice. But Glasgow Women couldn't hold on for their first point, losing 2-1 to Spartans.

    See you next weekend!

  2. And the Capital Cup goes to... Hibs!published at 18:12 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

    FT: Hibernian 1-1 Hearts

Despite the 1-1 scoreline, Hibs are the happier of the two sides as they take home the Capital Cup after a shoot-out win.

Georgia Timms blinked first, missing Hearts' second penalty. Hibs made no such mistake and it was the captain Siobhan Hunter who blasted her penalty in for the win.

Of course, that will have no impact on the league and both sides will share a point.

  3. FULL-TIME Hibernian 1-1 Heartspublished at 18:05 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

There was some desperate, last-ditch defending from Hearts right at the end, but they held on for the win.

They might be wondering what could have been, given Emma Brownlie's header gave them the lead near the hour mark.

But Crystal Thomas' equaliser in the 84th minute gave the home side a deserved point, although they couldn't find a winner.

It IS full-time, but there will be a penalty shoot out to decide the fate of the Capital Cup. Don't switch off just yet!

Just seconds after having one cleared off the line, Hibs find their equaliser.

Despite desperate defending from Georgia Hunter, Hearts can't clear and the American is able to turn and fire in from close range.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 17:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

    Hibernian 0-1 Hearts

Gwen Davies thought she had a second for Hearts.

She nicked the ball from the Hibs defence and played it to Georgia Timms, whose touch let her down and her shot was blocked. The ball came back to Davies and she finished well, but the flag was up quickly.

Another couple of changes to bring you. For Hibs - Liana Hinds is off, Rosie Livingstone is on.

And Hearts replace Erin Rennie with Monica Forsyth.

There's a real battle between Georgia Timms and Siobhan Hunter going on, too. It led to the Hearts goal, and it's one to keep an eye on.

    Hibernian 0-1 Hearts

Hibs respond with an immediate change as Crystal Thomas replaces Eilidh Adams.

They come close through a different source, as a corner drops to Liana Hinds on the edge of the area, but she blasts her effort just inches over the bar.

    Emma Brownlie

Hearts have a goal, to wake Easter Road from it's slumber.

It's been a very quiet second half so far, with a bit of niggle creeping in. Siobhan Hunter conceded a free-kick, with Ciara Grant swinging the ball straight onto the head of Emma Brownlie who powered her header into the top corner.

    Hearts have a surprise lead!

A change for Hearts at the break, and it's an attacking move. Jenna Penman is off, and New Zealand international Katie Rood is on.

    That's the second half underway.

  14. HALF-TIME Hibernian 0-0 Heartspublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

No goals to report from Easter Road, but plenty of chances for the hosts.

However, Charlotte Parker-Smith has been equal to everything the Hibs forwards have thrown at her so far.

Hearts need to improve. They aren't making use of Georgia Timms up front - one of the best forwards in this league on her day. Surely an improvement from both teams is on the way in the second half.

Eslewhere, Motherwell took a 3-0 lead into half-time in the Lanarkshire derby.

  15. goal

GOALpublished at 16:48 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

    Hamilton 0-3 Motherwell

Three goals in ten minutes and it looks like Motherwell have this one completely wrapped up.

Kaela McDonald-Nguah doubled the lead, knocking the ball in after a scramble in the box, before Carla Boyce volleyed in the third.

Another Hibernian chance as Krystyna Freda picks Georgia Hunter's pocket and fires a shot at goal, but again Charlotte Parker-Smith is there to deny.

Hunter is the Hearts captain, wearing a rainbow armband. Nice to see.

  17. goal

GOALpublished at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

    Hamilton 0-1 Motherwell

There's a goal in the Lanarkshire Derby - and it's for Motherwell. Georgie Lafferty curls an effort in.

That would lift them back to seventh.

  18. Postpublished at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2022

    Hibernian 0-0 Hearts

Not much to report from the last ten minutes, as Hearts soak up a bit of pressure. They've gotten into the Hibs box occasionally, too, with the ball pin-balling around from a corner at one point.

But, they've not really tested Benni Haaland in the Hibs goal.

Charlotte Parker-Smith denies Hibs again. A long, looping cross from Liana Hinds floats to the back post and picks out Krystyna Freda but she puts her header straight at the Hearts keeper.

How long can Hearts hold out before this pressure tells?

Hibs go close again. This time they go down the left through Michaela McAlenia, bursting past Gwen Davies.

She cuts back to Eilidh Adams, who pushes past two to fire a shot just wide. The hosts have had the better of the opening ten minutes.
