BBC World Service journalist Fernando Duarte, who is from Rio de Janeiro, told BBC Radio 5 Live Brazil's dancing against South Korea was "fun" and it brought "joy."
"My first advice to the people being negative is to get a life. If you're going to book players for celebrating then we're going to spend a lot of time booking players because even the normal celebrations at this World Cup have been over the top.
"If player reserves and managers enter the pitch, then it's the joy. We want joy, we want football to be a happy thing!
"Every time I talk about football, people say, Brazil used to be fun, when are they going to be fun again? Now they're being fun and they're being criticised!
"Of course if you dance in the face of the opposition and are mocking then that that should be curved but they were just being happy.
"These kids are boys! They're at the pinnacle of their career performing their dream, let them be happy.
"I really didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary and I would be the first person to point out showboating.
"It's just a dance, the African's used to do it too. People should dance more and be more happy."

You may have seen this moment across social media when Australia midfielder Cameron Devlin went up to Lionel Messi to swap shirts with the Argentina great after the Socceroos 2-1 defeat on Saturday.
