"I think looking back at 2018 we didn't really know what to expect. We went with the belief we could win but it was almost a new experience for a lot of us. We got to the semi-final and were over the moon but whether we had the full belief to go and win the tournament I'm not sure.
"We lost in the Euros by a couple of kicks of the ball and the belief has been building and building over the last five years. We have entered this tournament hoping and believing we can win and it. We have to got to a stage we expected to be at and now it is about trying to push on.
"We go into the [France] game with more belief than we did in 2018."

Ousmane Dembele is lightning quick for France. He's been playing brilliantly for Barcelona. You've got to be careful not to see them as a one-man team, although Kylian Mbappe is the best player in the world in my opinion.
Olivier Giroud keeps scoring goals. We've taken him for granted over the years since he played in England but he is a handful. But I see so much attacking quality and options for England, it would be silly to overly focus on France.
Kyle Walker has played against Mbappe many times and not struggled. Hopefully we are well-equipped.

I've always thought Jordan Pickford has excelled when playing for England albeit the statistics don't always back every point you want to make up as I found out when I asked Opta for some earlier.
Since Pickford made his Three Lions debut on 10th
November 2017, England have won 29 of the matches he has played in with a win ratio of 59%, while they have conceded an average of 0.7 goals per game.
Without him England have played 19, won 13, average goals against has been 0.5 per game and the win ratio is 68%, though I suspect there may be a decent chunk of friendly matches in there against slightly weaker opposition which obviously would skew things.

He shrugged off Angel di Maria's claim that he is the 'worst manager' the Argentina winger has played under by jokingly referring to his close relationship with Memphis Depay, who also struggled under him at Manchester United.
Popstar, Robbie Williams treated the England team to a private concert at their hotel on Wednesday night.
In a video posted on his Instagram account, the 48-year-old posed alongside Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire, saying: "Hi, I’m Robbie Williams. I’m at the England camp with the lads. How lucky I am. Come see me at the Doha Golf Club tonight. You know what to do.”
A Football Association spokesman said: “It was just a private performance within an outdoor area of the team hotel. Arranged via the players and enjoyed by all.”
However, some activists have criticised Williams' for performing in a country with a controversial human rights record in terms of LGBT, women and workers' rights.
Williams, however, has defied criticism of his decision, telling the Italian newspaper La Repubblica: “Of course, I don’t condone any abuses of human rights anywhere. But, that being said, if we’re not condoning human rights abuses anywhere, then it would be the shortest tour the world has ever known: I wouldn’t even be able to perform in my own kitchen.”

The good news for England is that Kyle Walker is definitely fast enough to deal with Mbappe - he is probably the only defender on the planet who would be happy to take him on in a race, one versus one.
But this battle is not just going to be about raw pace alone. Mbappe's intelligence makes Walker's task on Saturday much harder than that.
To get through it, Walker is going to need some help out there, so the team's approach and the focus of the players around him will be crucial too.
It is going to be fascinating to watch, and success or failure for England could come down to the finest of margins - Mbappe knows one tiny lapse is all it takes, and he will be away.
