It has been a good cup tie. I know we haven't had a lot of chances but it is competitive, tackles have been going in and there's a good atmosphere.

There will be one minute added on at the end of the first half.

Lewis Bate, who is only on loan at Oxford from Leeds, is clipped just inside Arsenal's half, and they have a choice to get it in the box.

They do that, but the offside flag goes up. That's a bit wasteful.

'He didn't know much about that'

I don't think Nketiah knew much about that. It is one of those where it instantly hits you and could go in, but it flew over the bar but a first opportunity for Arsenal.

Kieran Tierney is enjoying a long throw tonight.

He hurls another into the area and it is flicked on by an Oxford defender at the near post.

Eddie Nketiah stretches his right foot out but can only steer it over the bar.

Brilliant from Djavan Anderson.

He initially is a little slow to react to a loose ball, and it allows Gabriel Martinelli to get in and race clear.

The Brazil winger looks like he is going to get away but Anderson does brilliantly to get back, and time a tackle to perfection.

Matty Taylor gets in behind the Arsenal defence and he has an opportunity to pick out Josh Murphy at the back post, but his cross is intercepted by Kieran Tierney.

Tierney then has a chance to cross at the other end but puts far too much air on it and it drifts aimlessly behind.

We don't have monitors here but there were five or six players surrounding the referee. You don't need that, the referee made his decision.

But Oxford are under pressure. Arsenal have turned it up.

HUGE shout for handball by Arsenal!

They work a shooting opportunity Albert Sambi Lokonga, and his left-footed drive is blocked by a sliding Elliott Moore.

It does hit his left arm, but he was using it to support his body as he went to the ground, which is allowed.

The Arsenal players surround referee David Coote, but he's not for giving the penalty.

Midfielders Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are up off the Arsenal bench and are warming up.

An indication that Mikel Arteta isn't happy with what he's seen from his side?

Oxford holding their own

Oxford United manager Karl Robinson will be very happy with this first half hour. Arsenal have had more possession but have yet to carve out a clear opportunity.

The League One side have been disciplined and competive and the home fans are happy with what they are seeing.

Good football by Oxford. Lewis Bate looks like their playmaker, everything goes through him, he is neat and tidy and always looks to play forward.

Huge whistles and some fruity language from the Oxford fans as the game effectively just stops with Bukayo Saka down holding his left ankle.

It was a strong challenge from Ciaron Brown, but it was more than fair.

Good from Oxford.

Fabio Vieria's touch is heavy and the Oxford midfield snap in and win the ball back.

They send it to up to Matty Taylor quickly and after a couple of passes a shot by Cameron Brannagan is blocked.
