It's been a really impressive piece of work by Rob Edwards because he inherited a pretty sable squad that Nathan Jones had put together.

What he has really done is evolved the style a little bit. What we're seeing is the same intensity as under Nathan Jones but with a more patient style of play. He has got his ideas across very quicky, which is a sign of a very good coach.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Swansea

Home goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is forced into action to keep put Joel Piroe's effort.

    Wigan 0-0 Huddersfield

The Terriers have fashioned the first half-chance at the DW. Watford loanee Joseph Hungbo's angled strike takes a deflection but Jack Rudoni can only divert it the wrong side of the upright from a Huddersfield perspective.

The home side win a couple of early corners.

Vincent Kompany's league leaders are flying just now and any hopes Preston have of ending their winning run at nine successive matches might well rely on keeping them out early on.

Incredible start by Rob Edwards' Luton Town.

It took all of 38 second or so for Tom Lockyer to open the scoring at Coventry.

It's a lovely turn and finish from close range by the defender.

    Stevenage 0-0 Bradford City

Stevenage's FA Cup heroics haven't detracted from their quest for promotion from League Two.

The Boro are still second in the table after a 12-game unbeaten run, with an imperious back-three of Dan Sweeney, Carl Piergianni and Terence Vancooten - or a similarly athletic ball-player in the middle, Jonathan Tomkinson - letting in a mere four goals in that sequence.

Points per game projections suggest 81 points will suffice for automatic promotion, so Steve Evans' side need approximately 26 from their remaining 19 games, which on paper looks achievable - even with four play-off candidates coming up in their next five games.

Evans has been able to bolster his squad towards achieving that objective with seven new additions, three of which - Tomkinson, midfield technician Jake Forster-Caskey and lively forward Daryl Horgan - have tasted Championship football.

Bradford have made seven January signings themselves, and are hoping the additions of hardworking, versatile forward Dara Costelloe, speedy wide man Thierry Nevers and experienced striker Matt Derbyshire can offer more in the final third to support Andy Cook.

The industrious front-man has scored 17 goals for Mark Hughes' side, including the opener against Mansfield last weekend, but nobody else still at the club has scored more than three in all competitions.

That overreliance on Cook must shift if City are to end a four-match winless streak in Hertfordshire: their game in hand on teams above them offers an opportunity to move back into the top seven, but competition is vast.

Nobody down to Grimsby in 16th can be ruled out of the running, so a statement performance against prime promotion contenders is needed for Bradford to kick their play-off bid into life.

Bolton go to London Road for their 5,000th league game, an incredible milestone for the club. Times have been tough recently but under Ian Evatt, there’s more than a beam of sunshine breaking through any clouds around Bolton.

Both sides come into today’s fixture off the back of three impressive wins.

It’s been a perfect return for the home side’s manager, Darren Ferguson, in charge for a fourth time. Three in a row since Fergie Jr came in, does he still have that label? Certainly not at Posh!

As for the headline makers, Jonson Clarke-Harris is looking for goal number 19 for the season. Dion Charles is already on 14 for Wanderers.

Let’s see who comes out on top!

When it comes to promotion, I don’t think it’s even a question of ‘Can anyone stop Burnley?’.

They’re looking unstoppable under Vincent Kompany and a win today will make it 10 in a row, equalling a record set in 1913.

The Burnley boss has been able to rotate his side and keep up that perfect form. There’s so much quality in the side with the outstanding Nathan Tella, Anas Zaroury and Jay Rodriquez scoring 30 goals between them. Any mistake is punished - just ask Norwich keeper Tim Krul after their 3-0 defeat last time out.

Preston North End are such a paradox - diabolical at home but a delight on the road. Ryan Lowe’s side were booed off in their 2-1 home defeat by Bristol City last week.

The Deepdale faithful have seen only three home wins all season. They make the 40-mile trip across the M65 though knowing only three teams have more points than them on their travels. Ched Evans’ seven goals have been a shining light for Preston but he is unavailable after being given a four-match ban for violent conduct.

PNE couldn’t ask for a tougher test but it’s a Lancashire Derby and the form book, of course, goes out the window.

Coventry are a team looking to turn their fortunes around today, and the pre-match warm up has complicated things a little further.

Mark Robins has had to shuffle his line-up, with Kasey Palmer coming in to replace Ben Sheaf in the starting XI because of injury.

  19. League Two pace picks uppublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2023

All games kick off at 15:00 GMT

Leaders Leyton Orient are seeking a third-straight win when they head to Walsall, who are winless in three.

Stevenage remain unbeaten in 12 matches but are now seven points adrift in second and host bogey-side Bradford, winners of six of the last seven matches between the sides.

Third-placed Carlisle will look to get back to winning ways at AFC Wimbledon, who are unbeaten in seven league games at home dating back to October.

Northampton, a point behind the automatic promotion places, head to rock-bottom Rochdale where they haven’t won in 11 matches dating back to 2000.

Salford, in fifth, will seek to keep pace on a tricky trip to Tranmere while Jody Morris’ first home game in charge of Swindon is against Doncaster, who have lost their last three on their travels.

Stockport are looking for back-to-back wins as they head to Harrogate while FA Cup heroes Grimsby face a testing visit from Colchester, winners of their last four away games.

Crawley will seek to end their dismal run against Crewe to pull away from danger while new-look Gillingham head to Mansfield on the back of three wins in four and having scored more goals in those four games than their first 23 combined.

  20. League One gets 'crazy'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2023

All games kick off at 15:00 GMT

Newly anointed League One manager of the month Paul Warne has called this time of year the "crazy stage" of the season.

Why? Well, you have your leaders keeping up the pace and the chasing pack hot on their heels. Then there are the play-off aspirants chasing them, then there is the good old battle for survival playing out lower in the table.

At the top, leaders Sheffield Wednesday travel to third-placed Ipswich. And with second-placed Plymouth up against an improving Portsmouth side now under the the guidance of John Mousinho, things will no doubt get interesting in the upper reaches of the high-flyers.

Warne's fourth-placed Derby travel to play-off chasing Wycombe, so you can see what he was getting at when he spoke about how the "pressure" starts to build in February.

In the relegation places, bottom side Forest Green travel to a Morecambe looking for their first point under high-profile manager Duncan Ferguson. His tenure at Rovers has so far yielded defeats by Shrewsbury and Peterborough which has taken the club's winless run in all competitions to 10 games (which includes nine losses).

Today's full League One offering is listed below:

    • Barnsley v Cambridge United
    • Burton Albion v Exeter City
