Brilliant goal. Fantastic run and fantastic ball by Conor Washington and it's a difficult finish, it's bounced high and Dion controlled and finished fantastically well.

It's a brilliant delivery from Saville and Craig Cathcart is centimetres away from getting a proper connection on the ball.

Northern Ireland are knocking, but with 23 minutes played it is still goalless.

Conor Bradley, who has been his usually energetic self down the right, does really well to win a corner.

Michael O'Neill has cut a very relaxed figure during the build-up to this game, but he has been very animated in his technical area in these early stages of his first match back.

Indeed, he has been quite a way out of that technical box at times as he looks to cajole and guide his side.

There has certainly been no shortage of instructions coming from the Northern Ireland boss, whose opted for a tracksuit rather than the suit we were used to seeing him wear for matches during his first reign.

There's a slight heart in mouth moment for Benedettini, who races out to claim a long ball. The keeper slides out of the area but, crucially, he manages to keep his hands and the ball on the right side of the line.

San Marino come forward again but Allesandro Golinuci's touch is slightly too heavy and any attacking threats fades away.

Berardi, who is a rapid wee fella, is free down the right, breaks into the area but his weak shot is easily saved by Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

The flag then goes up, which might explain how he had so much space.

That's a warning sign though!

While it's been nothing more than a steady start on the pitch for Northern Ireland - with a few players slipping to the ground - it's been a bouncing start by the visiting fans in the far stand.

They are loving having Michael O'Neill back as manager and they are rattling through the songsheet rightly.

Not much by way of vocal backing in the home stand so far.

The three set pieces have been sloppy and we haven't done enough. Michael will be looking, especially with the height in the group, for a good delivery.

Another corner for Northern Ireland and it's one off the training ground as the ball is slipped thorough to Paddy McNair by Shea Charles, but it' slightly too heavy and Benedettini can gather.

Jamal Lewis slips and loses possession with a heavy touch but Shea Charles is able to mop things up.

It's been a bright start from the youngster.

The corner is cleared to Conor Bradley on the edge of the area and his effort is deflected over the top.

They try the same trick again but George Saville can't keep the ball in play after a heavy touch.
