Credit to the likes of Fred and Dalot who have just put in big sprints. They have got incredible fitness levels to still be going at it fully so late in the game.

United's final ball and final decision-making has been beyond poor today. The squad has hit a bit of a wall and all the games they've been playing have caught up with them. Beyond all that, the past couple of weeks has shown how thin quality United's squad is.

I’d love Brighton to get through. Nothing against United, but Brighton have a combination of humility and charisma seeping through the team.

  7. No end productpublished at 18:46 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

Both goalkeepers have made decent saves in this game but overall, neither team has been able to turn potential openings into clear opportunities.

The lack of end product means the game has been a bit of a let-down.

    Still nothing in this.

Save of the match by Robert Sánchez to deny Marcus Rashford.

Time and time again, the last pass and that final bit of quality just isn't there for Brighton.

Some really good runs by Kaoru Mitoma in this game and he's driving at United's defence once again but overhits his pass trying to set up a chance.

Kaden: If it does not go to penalties there will only be one winner. Brighton. If it goes to penalties and then United’s experience becomes key and they will do the job.

Ebrahim: As a United fan I really don’t want this to go to penalties. De Gea has a terrible record with spot kicks. We need a goal in extra time otherwise it will be pens and Brighton in the final!

We all LOVE a penalty shootout at Wembley, don't we?

    Not long now.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 96 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

Victor Lindelof hauls down Alexi Mac Allister and becomes the third United to receive a yellow. There are no complaints from the United defender. It was a tired challenge.

  17. 'Penalties on the mind'published at 18:34 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

It has been nice a composed start from Brighton in extra time.

You're always caught between a rock and a hard place in extra time. You want to win but you don't want to commit too much and get caught. Penalties are always in the back of your mind. It's a hard one.

United are being reduced to long clearances with Brighton positive in attack. A lovely move finds Deniz Undav unmarked inside the United box but his first touch lets him down.

    Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

Kaoru Mitoma tries to fashion an opportunity on the edge of the box but is crowded out. Then Alexis Mac Allister goes for glory from outside the box but it's high and wide.

  20. 'Sabitzer experience could be key'published at 18:31 British Summer Time 23 April 2023

    Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Being able to call on Sabitzer, a player that has so much European experience under his belt, is massive for United.

He should offer plenty in extra time.
