Both teams are showing great technical skill but England are dominating possession with a whopping 80% in the match so far.

They have had the better chances but Brazil are definitely coming into the game more.

    It's really tight.

The England players are just trying to figure out how to get through this Brazilian block.

All credit to Brazil so far, they are managing to fill the spaces [in between the lines]. They are just cancelling England out so far.

I'd like to see an England midfielder try to drop into those spare spaces in the full-back area to try and open the space up a bit.

There's been some nice touches from the likes of Lauren James, Lucy Bronze and Alessia Russo down this right-hand side nearest to the press box and the fans to our left like what they're seeing.

Brazil have looked sharp too. They have some really technical players and look dangerous on the break.

This is pretty much defence versus attack as England continue to dominate possession. Surely it is only a matter of time before the Lionesses lead?

    Superb effort!

First proper chance of the game for England as Lauren Hemp drives across the edge of the box before finding Lucy Bronze, who takes a touch before thumping a strike that Letícia does well to save.

    England 0-0 Brazil

    Izzy Christiansen
Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think it's subject to preference in terms of what else they bring to the side outside of goals, particularly the out of possession responsibilities.

I honestly think that with Rachel Daly, the mentality she has got, keeping her almost starving on the bench gives Sarina Wiegman that option to bring her on. To make that impact when she comes off the bench.

But I don't think today is final in terms of the starting selection for the World Cup.

Lauren Hemp is one of the three wingers competing for two starting positions in England's front line and she's certainly had a bright start.

Her movement and pace is causing problems down the left for Brazil.

Cracking ball over the top by Lucy Bronze and Alessia Russo breaks clear of the defence. She gets into the box and tumbles under a challenge. The fans want a penalty but the flag is up as she was just offside when she made her run.

Confident possession football from England in the opening few minutes. A ball down the left for Lauren Hemp to chase gets the crowd going but a good sliding challenge snuffs it out.

  16. Is there extra time and penalties?published at 2 mins

    England 0-0 Brazil

As this is a one off game, the outcome will be determined by penalties if the two sides cannot be separated.

However, there will be no extra time - straight to the spot kicks.

You want to feel confident when you're playing, and it's one less thing to worry about.

There are more and more girls getting into the game and it's about addressing those barriers that might get in the way.

It's just a simple fix to change the colour of the kit.
