  1. 'Ramalepe will be devastated'

    Sweden 1-1 South Africa

    Sue Smith

Former England international on BBC Two

Lebohang Ramalepe will be absolutely devastated with the own goal. It just completely wrong foots the goalkeeper, it was a great delivery in from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

Kaneryd got the ball in, whipped it into a dangerous area.

She tried to clear it with her left foot, maybe hits her right foot as it goes in. Very unfortunate.

  2. GOAL - Sweden 1-1 South Africa

    Lebohang Ramalepe own goal

Sweden get back on level terms.

The cross from the right from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd is aimed at Fridolina Rolfo at the back post, but it bounces off Lebohang Ramalepe and she can't sort out her feet in time and it leaves Kaylin Swart with no chance as the ball goes into the net.

  3. Post update

    Sweden 0-1 South Africa

Thembi Kgatlana has a shot and it is parried by Zecira Musovic, but then the flag goes up and it wouldn't have counted anyway.

  4. 'Sweden need to get Asllani on the ball'

    Sweden 0-1 South Africa

    Sue Smith

Former England international on BBC Two

Sweden need to get Kosovare Asllani on the ball, in those spaces between the midfield and the defence.

She picks those up so well and is able to find Stina Blackstenius in space.

We haven't seen that as much as we are used to.

  5. SUBSTITUTION

    Sweden 0-1 South Africa

Sadly Hildah Magaia, who took a kick while scoring and landed heavily after bundling the ball over the line, can't continue and she has to be replaced by Gabriela Salgado.

Magaia is distraught as she walks around the pitch, but this will be a day she will never forget in her career.

Magaia walks around the pitch after having to come off with an injury.
  6. 'Belief growing'

    Sweden 0-1 South Africa

    Sue Smith

Former England international on BBC Two

You could just see the belief growing in this South Africa side from the first half, into the second half.

They started that little bit higher, pressing from the front. We know that's the quality that they have got.

  7. Post update

    Sweden 0-1 South Africa

Goalscorer Hildah Magaia needed some treatment after scoring but thankfully is back on the pitch now.

  8. 'Brilliant from South Africa'

    Sweden 0-1 South Africa

    Sue Smith

Former England international on BBC Two

You can see how much it means to South Africa.

Sweden just switched off defensively. The pace in behind, it was just a long ball forward. It was poor from Zecira Musovic and Hildah Magaia was first to react.

    Absolutely brilliant from South Africa.

South Africa players congratulate Magaia after she scored the opening goal.
  9. GOAL - Sweden 0-1 South Africa

    Hildah Magaia

    The underdogs take the lead!

South Africa score only their second ever World Cup goal. It is created by Thembi Kgatlana, who shows great pace to get free of her marker and her shot is only parried by Zecira Musovic.

Hildah Magaia, under pressure from Jonna Andersson, gets there first to the rebound, taking a kick in the process, and bundles the ball over the line.

Magaia gets injured while scoring and lies in the back of the net, but when she gets back up will be able to celebrate a potential landmark goal for a South Africa side that have never won a World Cup match.

  10. Post update

    Sweden 0-0 South Africa

    Sue Smith

Former England international on BBC Two

Sweden completely controlled possession in the first half but the final ball and quality was lacking so they know that needs to be improved.

  11. 'More of the same from South Africa'

    Sweden 0-0 South Africa

    Rachel Brown-Finnis

    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

South Africa's game plan has been really effective so far. More of the same from their point of view.

Whether Sweden will make some personnel changes, I'm not sure.

  12. Post update

    Sweden 0-0 South Africa

It's still chucking it down in Wellington as the second half gets under way.

We've only had one goalless draw in nine matches at this tournament, 45 minutes and a goal needed to avoid a second.

The rain pours down in Wellington.
  13. 'South Africa have to pick their moments'

    HT: Sweden 0-0 South Africa

    Jonas Eidevall

    Arsenal manager on BBC Two

What I like with South Africa's pressure is that they don't go up and press high constantly, they really pick their moments when they feel a trigger like a sloppy pass from Sweden.

All the three attackers from South Africa step up at the same time in order to try and stress and press Sweden.

They have been successful with that, it's key for a team like South Africa, they can't be playing in a low block the whole game. Eventually you will suffer and concede a goal.

So pick your moments in order to come up and attack and I think it is key for them to continue to do that in the second half.

  14. 'South Africa were able to soak up pressure'

    HT: Sweden 0-0 South Africa

    Rachel Brown-Finnis

    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

South Africa expected Sweden to get off on the front foot and they had to back off and bank up and they got numbers back to be able to defend and soak up that pressure.

It really limited Sweden in the number of shots, they snuffed the play out from the wings. At times all 10 outfield players are behind the ball and that makes it so hard to come inside.

South Africa players gesture encouragement to each other.
  15. Substitute Vangsgaard snatches late winner

    Denmark 1-0 China

Watch highlights as Amalie Vangsgaard comes off the bench to score a late winner for Denmark, who mark their 16-year World Cup absence with victory over China.

  16. England take narrow victory over Haiti

  17. Japan thrash World Cup debutants Zambia

  18. USA begin World Cup with comfortable win over Vietnam

    USA 3-0 Vietnam

United States launched their bid for an unprecedented third consecutive world crown with a comfortable win against Women's World Cup debutants Vietnam in Auckland.

  19. Post update

So no goals yet today, but let's have a quick look back at those from yesterday...

  20. 'Better final pass needed from Sweden'

    HT: Sweden 0-0 South Africa

    Jonas Eidevall

    Arsenal manager on BBC Two

Sweden played with a lot of control in possession, a lot of final third entries but they didn't convert anything from that.

They barely had any shots on target and they need to pick out the final pass much better.
