For those out of the loop, firstly where have you been? Secondly, Jamaica captain Khadija Shaw and Bunny Shaw are the same person.

When your nickname is that good, we will use it interchangeably.

Shaw's back on her feet now by the way.

While Jamaica are built on a sturdy defence, there is always consternation when Khadija Shaw goes down.

Looks as though she'll be fine to continue though.

Nice, real nice possession at the moment from Jamaica.

But it ends voluntarily as the girls in yellow kick the ball out of play with star striker Bunny Shaw on the deck after taking a knock out of possession.

Bunny Shaw comes forward but is soon surrounded by four purple shirts.

Colombia's Diana Ospina stretches to make a tackle but I think she's injured herself in the process. One to monitor.

    It's been a positive start hasn't it?

Both teams have been lively, there doesn't seem to be any fear from either side.

Colombia controlling the play and the tempo so far with Jamaica looking razor sharp on the counter. The template has been set for a captivating clash.

It could be a long night (or morning in the UK) for Jamaica's Tiernny Wiltshire who is turned by Linda Caicedo down the left.

The defender recovers well though and hacks the ball from under Caicedo's feet and out for a throw.

What a huge incentive for both teams, knowing that if they get through this game they will be facing the European Champions, England.

Colombia have had big results, beating Germany 2-1 and South Korea 2-0, ended the group with a 1-0 disappointing defeat to Morocco.

Jamaica held both Brazil and France to 0-0 draws. They have been solid defensively, I just worry a bit how they are going to score goals.

It will be an exciting game today.

This was very much a last 16 game we had our eyes on when the draw was made - as we expected Germany v Brazil.

Instead, we get two of the surprise packages of the World Cup so far - one of who will be looking to give England a hard time in Sydney on Saturday night.

There is a Germany flag draped over one of the hoardings behind the goal to my right hand side.

Someone clearly got a little ahead of themselves.

First chance and it falls to Jamaica as a long throw is launched towards Manchester City's Bunny Shaw in the box.

She chests it into the path of Jody Brown but the number 10 can only hook the ball over from a tight angle.

There are more empty seats at Melby Recs than I have seen at any other knock-out match so far. It's only about half full.

Those inside are making a right racket though.

The Colombian national anthem, and the way the fans and players sing it, has been one of the outstanding moments from this World Cup.

I genuinely have goosebumps after that.

    Colombia v Jamaica (09:00 BST)

    • This is Colombia's second time in the last 16 of the Women's World Cup, having also made the first knockout round in 2015.
    • Jamaica are the first Caribbean nation to play in the knockout stages of a Fifa World Cup - male or female - since Cuba in 1938.
    • The Reggae Girlz are only the third side from the Concacaf region to reach the Women's World Cup knockouts, after USA and Canada.
    • These two sides are the last remaining representatives from their respective federations (Colombia from Conmebol, Jamaica from Concacaf) at this World Cup.
    • Jamaica did not concede in any of their three group games. In 2019, making their Women's World Cup debut, they conceded 12 goals in three matches.

    Colombia v Jamaica (09:00 BST)

    Rachel Brown-Finnis predicts

Colombia have been my surprise team of the tournament so far, and they fully deserve to be in the last 16.

They've been brilliantly organised and have come up with some big moments in attack - their last-gasp winner against Germany was technically excellent, in the way it was created and scored.

Jamaica have shown a lot of resolve too, but Colombia have more ideas when it comes to unlocking the opposition.

    Brown-Finnis' prediction: 2-0

This is the final match in Melbourne at this World Cup - and the Rectangular Stadium has claimed many big names.

Here was where Olympic champions Canada were eliminated by hosts Australia, where Brazil icon Marta saw her World Cup dreams dashed.

Two nights ago, the once unbeatable United States were humbled on penalties by Sweden, a night none of those who witnessed it will ever forget.

Tonight's game is less about last chances, but more about huge opportunities for two sides re-writing their own football history.
