It's stacked against Inverness but it's games like this as a player you look forward to.

There will be an air of anxiousness around it as you know the levels of performance Celtic can produce. They can be frightening to watch.

You can consume yourself and be beaten before you start. The focus for Inverness has to be on the positives of the journey. We've watched some of their best football this season in the cup, and there will be a freedom.

If they can put it all together, that's the beauty of the cup.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle chief executive Scott Gardner met up fans at a pre-match party on the banks of the Clyde earlier this afternoon.

"We've got 6,5000 fans getting here by hook or by crook but I think we would have had 10,500 if it were a three o'clock kick-off. It's a Scottish Cup final, it's a jewel in our crown and it shouldn't have happened.

"Unfortunate is not strong enough, but we can't let it take away from the achievement of the club, Billy Dodds or the team to get us here.

"Our fans, as ever, live in hope The fans of the other team live in expectation.

"Celtic should win, absolutely, but they're playing Caley Thistle."

Quite mad to think there's still over an hour to go until we get started here. Hampden is still eerily quiet.

A pile of controversy has surrounded the decision to change the kick-off time, but one positive is that the atmosphere will surely be cranked up another couple of notches.

Think we all know how the majority of fans here today will be spending their extra two-and-a-half hours in the Glasgow sunshine. Quite jealous to be honest...

Having missed out on the play-offs, Caley Thistle haven't been in competitive action since 5 May.

Players have had a holiday, a training trip to Ireland and a few bounce games against lower league opposition.

No sign of the Inverness line-up yet, but it won't be long.

Celtic's top scorer Kyogo Furuhashi picked up a knock in that 5-0 thumping of Aberdeen but he's fit to start today.

The Japan striker is on 33 goals for the season and he seems to love it at Hampden, having scored twice in back-to-back League Cup finals since his arrival in Scotland.

His compatriot Daizen Maeda is back from a ban and replaces Liel Abada.

Having lost just once on their way to the title, Celtic took their eye of the ball after wrapping up the crown with four games to spare, getting beaten by Rangers and Hibs and drawing at home with St Mirren.

However, they were back at their best last weekend, smashing Aberdeen 5-0 before being presented with the silverware.

If they hit those kind of heights today, it's going to be very difficult for the Championship outfit.

Both sets of players, suited and booted, have had a look and feel of what looks like an absolute bowling green of a pitch.

It's Scottish Cup final day, so why isn't the game starting at 3pm?

Neither team is happy about it, condemning the decision to move away from the traditional time slot, while MSPs have grumbled about it in parliament.

Those complaints fell on deaf ears, with the match switched to avoid a clash with the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United.

Good news for armchair fans who fancy watching both games, not so good if you're travelling from the north of Scotland.

It's a scorcher in Glasgow for Scottish Cup final day and we have a real David v Goliath contest to look forward to as Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle take on treble-chasing Celtic.

Will it be a picnic for the Glasgow giants or can the underdogs have their day in the sun?
