  1. Freunds reunited?published at 14:48 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

    Huddersfield v Norwich (15:00 BST)

David Wagner enjoyed three incredible years as Huddersfield Town boss.

The German took over the struggling Terriers in November 2015 and guided them to promotion to the Premier League for the first time less than two years later.

He again made a mockery of the bookmakers by keeping the Terriers in the top flight the following season before leaving in January 2019.

Now in charge of today's opponents Norwich City he'll be looking to bite the hand that once fed him to build on the Canaries' positive start to the campaign.

Neil Warnock's winless side gave a good account of themselves in last week's 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough but they'll want to get that first victory on the board today, regardless of the popularity of the man in the opposing dugout.

    Southampton v QPR (15:00 BST)

Russel Martin will be hoping for another victory in the early stages of his tenure as Southampton bossImage source, Rex Features

Southampton boss Russell Martin will be pretty pleased with the start his new charges have made to the season.

Late winners in both of their away games this campaign, at Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth, have sandwiched a helter-skelter 4-4 draw in their home game with Norwich.

Martin will hope his side can show a bit more control today against a QPR team who have recovered well from being 4-0 down at half-time in their first game of the season at Watford.

The R's beat Cardiff the following week and gave a decent account of themselves in last week's 1-0 home defeat by high-flying Ipswich.

Striker Che Adams, who has scored in all three Southampton league games this season, is not included in the matchday squad amid interest from Everton.

  3. In-form Foxes head to winless Millerspublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

    Rotherham v Leicester (15:00 BST)

Like Ipswich v Leeds this game pits a team who have won all three matches this season against one yet to taste victory.

Rotherham blew a two-goal lead at home to Blackburn last time they played in front of their own supporters and, with eight goals conceded, have the division's leakiest defence at present.

Leicester are looking to bounce straight back up to the Premier League after their surprise relegation last time around.

They're going the right way about it and will hope to make it four from four as they play the Millers in a league game for the first time in 19 years.

  4. Can Tractor Boys keep rolling on?published at 14:39 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

    Ipswich v Leeds (15:00 BST)

It's been a flawless start to the season for promoted Ipswich Town.

Kieran McKenna's men have been on a roll for some time now in fact, their last league defeat was way back on 21 January away at Oxford United.

What today's visitors would do to boast a record like that.

Leeds, relegated from the Premier League last season, are without a league win since 4 April and have endured a number of off-field issues at the start of the campaign.

Still, they were buoyed by the arrival of prolific Swansea striker Joel Piroe on Thursday and he starts, as does Willy Gnonto after the Italy international apologised for refusing to play and handing in a transfer request.

  5. Bristol City put stop to Tigers runpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

FT: Hull City 1-1 Bristol City

The weekend action got under way on Friday evening with Hull City's home game against Bristol City.

The home side took the lead through Ozan Tufan's fourth goal of the season before Nahki Wells levelled for the visitors in the second half of an entertaining match.

Victory for the home side would have given them a third successive success but they start today in the top six nonetheless.
