Chelsea v AFC Wimbledon (19:45 BST)

AFC Wimbledon are unbeaten this season in all competitions, sitting fifth in League Two.

Boss Johnnie Jackson said: "I can’t wait. I think it’s going to be a great occasion for everyone involved, for myself coming up against one of the world’s top managers and for my players coming up against some of the world’s best players.

"It’s a chance for our supporters to go to one of our London rivals in their backyard, so I’m excited for everyone.

"Whoever Mauricio Pochettino does put out there, they are going to be top quality, so we just have to prepare for Chelsea, their style and what they do."

Doncaster Rovers are bottom of the entire Football League with only one point from five League Two games.

But they won 2-1 at Championship side Hull in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Boss Grant McCann said: “We will be brave. We’re not coming into this to sit back and let them dictate the game. We want to be on the front foot.

“This is our home and we want to make it a real cup tie. That’s the way we want to make it.

“It’s a great game. We’re playing against a Premier League team with star international players running all through it.

“It’s a great game for the whole of Doncaster and the chance for us to test ourselves against Premier League players and test ourselves against elite level managers and coaches."

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper says he will be doing "everything they can" to progress tonight.

Forest, who reached last year's semi-finals, have only picked up one point so far in the league.

"Any game that we play we want to play well and do well in," said Cooper.

"Cup competitions are there to be won and lost on the night, of course, so we will be doing everything we can.

"We're back at the City Ground, we love that and it's a game to look forward to."

Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson says any transfer dealings before Friday's deadline are "out of his hands".

“It is an uncertain period for Rovers and a challenging period for the club. When I arrived here, it was a different project," Tomasson said.

“But we all know it is a difficult time. That is why I am extremely happy to see the way the team has shown spirit and togetherness.

“The staff in our building, they are behind the team and helping in every sense. Hopefully, we get some help. The only thing I can say to the club is the players need help because it is a tough season.”

Harrogate Town feel "lifted" by their win over Morecambe at the weekend, says boss Simon Weaver.

They had lost three League Two games in a row before that.

“It’s still very early in the season, certainly before the Morecambe game we felt that we needed the win to get the confidence going," he said.

“We feel we have got fresh vigour amongst the group and belief in the group now, one swallow doesn’t make a summer, but it’s lifted the group and we’re looking forward to tomorrow night now."

This is their first ever home game against a Championsho

“At every level we have always had that [underdog] tag, but we relish being underdogs and having a bit of a chip on our shoulder," Weaver continued.

“We love it when they [the fans] sing about Betty’s tea shops and people expecting us to be soft and flaky, hopefully we can prove people wrong.”

Sheffield United v Lincoln City (19:45 BST)

No wonder Lincoln boss Mark Kennedy is confident: the Imps would have won their last five in all competitions had they not conceded a 98th-minute equaliser at Northampton Town on 15 August.

"We go into every game believing we can win," said Kennedy. "We don't win them all but we're looking forward to it and we're going there to win a cup tie."

Kennedy, whose team have kept clean sheets in each of their four victories this season, was impressed by Paul Heckingbottom's side during their late defeat to the reigning Premier League champions.

"I know Sunday was difficult against City but I thought they were outstanding structurally and out of possession - so, so unlucky," he added. "Paul's done an amazing job - he has an amazing reputation as a coach.

"We played them during last pre-season and we were super impressed with them. We had two 60-minute games which I didn't particularly want and didn't organise. They gave us a thumping in one of them, but they've got really good players throughout the squad."

It is difficult for Everton to gain too much from tonight’s game at Doncaster.

Despite their winless start to the league season, they will still be expected to go through against a side bottom of League Two. For morale purposes, they need to navigate the tie, avoid any shocks, and hopefully score a couple of goals, because that has been the big issue once again.

Aston Villa aside, the performances have not been too bad, but if you do not score you do not win. A game like this tonight, if won, could just give them that boost to take into the weekend game at Sheffield United.

While it would be nice to go on a cup run, it is league points that really matter at the moment, and the sooner Everton can get some on the board the better - and we await to see what the remainder of the transfer window might bring.

The signing of Beto from Udinese is good news and it will be fascinating to see what he can bring to the team and how long it takes him to get used to Premier League football.

Recent arrival Youssef Chermiti is also a striker so at least there are more options now for Sean Dyche at the top end of the pitch, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin currently unavailable.

So it is a big week both on and off the pitch for the club, and if they can emerge from it with progress in the Carabao Cup, maybe another signing or two, and something to bring back from Bramall Lane, it might just finally give them a foothold for the long season ahead.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino and Moises Caicedo of Chelsea FC celebrate after win against LutonImage source, Getty Images

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is still looking for his first trophy in English football after spells with Southampton and Tottenham.

"I want to win the Carabao Cup, I want to win the FA Cup, I want to win the Premier League, then we see what happens after," Pochettino said.

"In Tottenham I never said I prefer to win the Champions League. I always try to explain I never put out this view. I want to win tomorrow, I want to win the cup, I want to win the league. Even if after, in the next few years we are in the Champions League or a different competition, I think every single competition is going to be a challenge for us and opportunity to win.

"I want to win every single competition because I become older. I want to win. I can not wait and think this season the only focus is this and then this season the focus is on that, no. [There is] no time to waste time, it is about wanting to win and that is the idea I want to get into the players and staff."

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom wants as many new signings as possible by Friday's deadline.

They have signed eight players, most recently Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer, but plan more because of a number of departures.

"I want as many as possible. Me and [club owner] Prince Abdullah speak all the time and he would want as many as possible," Heckingbottom said.

"There is only so much in terms of resources. We are going to work as hard as we can to end the window as strong as we possibly can.

"How many do we want? As many as possible, and I may have to leave people out of the 25 as well. Realistically, we know how tough it is to get players in. That's going to be our focus over the next few days."

A big ask for Wimbledon to beat Chelsea away from home. Eighteen-year-old Morgan Williams makes his first start for the club.
