Almost exactly a year since France suffered semi-final heartbreak at Euro 2022
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
France reached the semi-finals of Euro 2022 in England last year, losing 2-1 to Germany in the last four, with that match played almost a year ago (on 27 July, at MK Dons' Stadium MK).
Is this Brazil's year?
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Brazil have never won the Women's World Cup, losing in the final in 2007.
Marta to be first player to score at six World Cups?
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Marta could become the first player - man or woman - to score in six World Cups.
The 37-year-old has made 187 appearances for Brazil, scoring 122 goals and been named as World Player of the Year on six occasions.
Once again though, she is only among the subs.
Team news - Renard fit for France; goalscorer Bia Zaneratto on bench for Brazil
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
France captain Wendie Renard has been passed fit from the start after picking up a calf injury.
Selma Bacha, Kenza Dali and Estelle Cascarino come into the team after a blunt goalless draw with Jamaica in their opener.
Clara Mateo, Eve Perriset and Amel Majri are the players who drop to the bench. Record goalscorer Eugenie Le Sommer will lead the line alongside Kadidiatou Diani.
France XI: Peyraud-Magnin, Karchaoui, Renard, Lakrar, Perisset, Dali, Toletti, Geyoro, Bacha, Le Sommer, Diani.
There's no big surprises in the Brazilian team as Ary Borges starts after netting a hat-trick in Brazil's opening win over Panama.
Geyse Ferreira is named up front in Brazil's one change. Bia Zaneratto is the player to make way.
Marta is on the bench as she looks to become the first player to score in six World Cups.
Brazil XI: Leticia, Tamires, Rafaelle Souza, Lauren, Antonia, Adriana, Luana, Kerolin, Ary Borges, Debinha, Geyse Ferreira.
'Renard really leads from the back'
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Steph Houghton
Manchester City defender on BBC One
Wendie Renard seems as if she has been around forever.
She's the stalwart of France's team, she's their captain and somebody that everybody looks up to.
First of all, she is a great defender, she really leads from the back and it's so important for her today to be a part of France's backline.
Battle of the breads
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Andy Gray
BBC Sport at Brisbane Stadium
Now, that's fighting talk.
For those wondering, a pao de queijo is a small cheesy bread from Brazil (Google may or may not have been used for that one). Yum!
Fish and chips, anyone?

Spotted on the concourse. It's like being back in the UK...
'Can expect France to be more offensive'
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Laura Georges
Former France international on BBC One
I feel good about the French team. Last time we played, we were not able to use the wings.
I see we are back to 4-3-3 so we can expect France to be more offensive.

It was BBC Two for the first game of the day, now we're live on BBC One for this one so press the play button at the top to watch along.
Can France reach the quarter-finals again?
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
France have reached at least the quarter-finals in their last three World Cup appearances, with their best result being a fourth-placed finish in 2011.
It has already been a dramatic 2023 for the French women's team as manager Corinne Diacre was sacked in March after a number of senior players said they wouldn't play under her anymore.
That happened just four months before the World Cup.
Showdown at sunset
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Emma Smith
BBC Sport at Brisbane Stadium
As the sun sets, the stage is set.
Anecdotally, Lang Park could sound like the Maracana tonight. On my walk to the ground, I saw hundreds of Brazil-shirted fans and not a single France jersey.
I also saw a handful of Japan supporters and a couple of USA fans. Clearly Brisbane is the place to be for one of the standout games from the group stage draw.
How it stands
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
A Brazil win takes them into the last 16. France will be struggling to qualify if they lose this one and would need to beat Panama in their last game to have any chance.
Watch the best of the Brazilian goals
FT: Brazil 4-0 Panama
Watch the third goal of Brazil's 4-0 win against Panama and a lovely goal it is too.
Jamaica pick up crucial draw against France
France 0-0 Jamaica
Watch highlights as Jamaica draw against France with only 10 players, to grab a crucial point at the Fifa Women's World Cup.
Samba in the streets
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
Andy Gray
BBC Sport NI at Brisbane Stadium
There's samba in the streets of Brisbane as the Brazil fans descend upon Lang Park.
The atmosphere is unbelievable as they sing, dance and party their way towards the ground.
There are some France fans, although it's safe to say they are a bit more subtle in their approach.
Let's hope this atmosphere continues into the ground. We'll be in for a treat.
Mouth-watering
France v Brazil (11:00 BST)
We're back.
We've just seen a five-goal thrashing as Sweden were too good for Italy to move into the last 16.
Next up is a mouth-watering clash between France and Brazil.
Brazil could also be advancing into the last 16 if they defeat the French. Kick-off for this one is at 11:00 BST.
Mixed fortunes for two of the world's best
France and Brazil are two of the top eight-ranked sides in women's football - but they had very mixed experiences in their opening matches at this Women's World Cup.
France were held to a surprise goalless draw against a Jamaica side that ended the match with only 10 players...
...while Brazil were absolutely sensational, thrashing Panama with Ary Borges (pictured on the left with fellow goalscorer Bia Zaneratto) grabbing a hat-trick.
Brazil can secure their place in the last 16, while France desperately need a win after that first match slip-up.
