  1. Post update

    France 3-0 Morocco

    Almost 4-0.

Selma Bacha is found in the box by a neat pass from Kadidiatou Diani but she can only fire her shot into the sidenetting.

A shake of the head from Reynald Pedros. His side are getting schooled.

Pedros shouts at his player in frustration.
  2. Post update

    France 3-0 Morocco

Panic sets in to the Morocco defence every time France come forward here. The gulf between the two sides is vast.

  3. Post update

    France 3-0 Morocco

That is Eugenie Le Sommer's second goal at this World Cup finals. It's her 91st for her country. Nobody else has more.

  4. 'France punish every mistake'

    France 3-0 Morocco

    Anita Asante

Former England defender on BBC One

This is what happens when you play a team like France, they have the quality up front to punish every mistake.

El Chad really needs to get across to Diani, get the ball cleared. Put it out for a corner or a throw in, anything.

Instead she tries to stay on it and find a pass, is dispossessed and Le Sommer capitalises.

Morocco players thump the ground in frustration after France score their third.
  5. Post update

    France 3-0 Morocco

With a tournament as wide open as this now, France's display here is ominous for the other seven sides left.

  6. GOAL - France 3-0 Morocco

    Eugenie Le Sommer

    It's getting messy!

Nesryne El Chad can't get the ball away from her own byline. She slams her clearance against Kadidiatou Diani and the ball diverts straight to Eugenie Le Sommer, who does the rest.

France have put this to bed inside the first quarter.

  7. Post update

    France 2-0 Morocco

Morocco never really responded to the first goal. It was a clear hammer blow to them and they were unable to stage anything positive afterwards.

They're slipping out of this event.

  8. 'Delightful play'

    France 2-0 Morocco

    Anita Asante

Former England defender on BBC One

    Delightful play from France.

Renard drops the ball into Dali, who flicks the ball into the channel for Diani.

Diani then tracks her run to pull the ball back, and Dali sweeps it into the net via the post.

France players flock to Dali after she scores their second.
  9. GOAL - France 2-0 Morocco

    Kenza Dali

    France are flying!

Kadidiatou Diani turns supplier, collecting a flick from Kenza Dali before returning a low ball into the box for the Villa player to finish first time off the far post.

The last eight beckons for Herve Renard's side inside 20 minutes.

That hill in front of Morocco has become a mountain.

  10. 'Diani on for the Golden Boot'

    France 1-0 Morocco

    Anita Asante

Former England defender on BBC One

Diani is certainly on the run for the Golden Boot.

You can see that France are targeting that Morocco left hand side, Karchaoui and Almeida combining to create an overload.

The full back gets isolated and the ball from Karchaoui is wonderful.

Diani is there in the six yard box to take advantage.

Diani stretches her arms wide as she runs off to celebrate to her teammate in the foreground.
  11. Post update

    France 1-0 Morocco

Diani has now contributed to goals in her last three games in the Women's World Cup (4 goals, 1 assist).

Morocco need to get their heads clear quickly here. An early goal is a big blow, but they have to stay in the game.

  12. GOAL - France 1-0 Morocco

    Kadidiatou Diani

    Brilliant goal!

France rip Morocco open on the left as a neat one-two releases Sakina Karchaoui for a cross that is perfect for Kadidiatou Diani to pull away from goal and nod in unchallenged.

That's her fourth goal in two games after the hat-trick against Panama.

France are up and running and Morocco already have a huge hill in front of them.

  13. Post update

    France 0-0 Morocco

Morocco are going to leave everything out there tonight.

Elodie Nakkach flies into a tackle to try and win the ball and takes her French opponent down too.

Not long after, Sakina Karchaoui's cross from the right is punched away by Morocco keeper Khadija Er-Rmichi on the dive.

  14. Post update

    France 0-0 Morocco

Must be a bit chilly in Adelaide tonight as a few on the Morocco bench are well wrapped up. Big coats on, blankets up to the chin.

France continue to see much more of the ball. It needs a good interception from Sakina Karchaoui to stop Morocco breaking, though.

Morocco players sit wrapped up on the bench.
  15. Post update

    France 0-0 Morocco

France dominating the ball in these early stages. They're swarming Morocco in midfield to win it back very quickly too when they do lose it.

  16. 'Morocco will look to keep tight and counter'

    France 0-0 Morocco

    Anita Asante

Former England defender on BBC One

Morocco will be looking to make things very difficult for France.

Keeping their shape very rigid, and most likely looking to spring onto the counter attack and use those transitions.

Benzina stands tall for Morocco winning the ball off Dali.
  17. Post update

    France 0-0 Morocco

France are looking to stamp early authority on this.

A second attack ends with Kenza Dali hammering an effort over the bar from about 15 yards out on an angle.

  18. Post update

    France 0-0 Morocco

    Nice from Morocco.

They win the ball back in their own half and some cool passing from Nouhaila Benzina helps them work the ball wide right. The attack fizzles out, though.

  19. 'On paper France far superior'

    France 0-0 Morocco

    Anita Asante

Former England defender on BBC One

On paper when you look at the sides France are the far superior team. Players with plenty of experience in the likes of Renard and Le Sommer.

But lots of credit to Morocco, after that heavy defeat to Germany, to learn and develop performances shows incredible will to keep improving.

Diani holds off challenges from two Morocco defenders.
  20. Post update

    France 0-0 Morocco

France are the first side driving forward.

The direct and quick Kenza Dali of Aston Villa sends over a low ball and it is gathered by a team-mate in the box, who can't keep it in.

Dali had more assists than any other player in WSL last season.
