    Cardiff 1-0 Watford

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Watford will be wondering how they're still trailing after Yaser Asprilla and Vakoun Bayo both missed glorious chances before the break.

The second half is under way now and Valerien Ismael's side look low on confidence but at least they're creating chances. They'll want to stop the rot having lost their last three games.

    Leicester 1-0 Stoke

Within seconds of the restart Nathan Lowe has headed over from Medhi Leris' whipped cross - the ball was just behind him which made it harder to get his effort on target, but that has to go down as a chance.

    Southampton 1-0 Rotherham

We've just been informed that there will be a 10 minute delay to the second half kick-off at St Mary's.

It's due to a medical incident in the stands.

    HT: Portsmouth 0-0 Port Vale

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 Live commentator at Fratton Park

Some frustration at Fratton Park. Pompey started the day as the League leaders, but they haven’t been as smart nor as creative as eighth-placed Port Vale.

Funso Ojo struck the post early on, and Vale have had two prime chances since then too. Paddy Lane’s mis-timed free header as close as Pompey have come.

    HT: QPR 0-2 Blackburn

    Alex Howell
BBC Radio 5 Live at Loftus Road

A goal for Blackburn and the atmosphere could get ugly here at Loftus Road.

The home fans are not happy with with they’ve seen so far. QPR have a lot of work to do if they want to get anything from this match.

    HT: Sheff Wed 0-0 Huddersfield

    Tom Gayle
BBC Radio 5 Live commentator at Hillsborough

The Darren Moore return narrative aside, this has been a poor half of football, best surmised by Huddersfield's Yuta Nakayama’s inability to take a correct throw in.

Neither keeper has had a save of note to make. Given their poor start to the season I’m sure most Wednesday fans would take a point and run if offered it right now.

GOAL: Ipswich 3-1 Prestonpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Nathan Broadhead (45 mins +1)

The Ipswich forward couldn't miss from there.

The cross comes in to the far post and Nathan Broadhead taps the ball in on the goal-line.

More poor defending from Preston who gift the home side that goal.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:45 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    QPR 0-2 Blackburn

It could very easily be three.

James Hill brings the ball down for Rovers and fires in a looping effort destined to dip under the crossbar until Asmir Begovic produces a fine fingertip save at full stretch.

What's this? A chance for Stoke.

Jordan Thompson has his head in his hands after losing his marker at the back post from a set-piece only to send his header off target and into the family stand.

  16. goal

GOAL: Coventry 0-1 Norwichpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Jonathan Rowe (41 mins)

Great work in the build up from Norwich's Jack Stacey and Liam Gibbs who progress the ball up the pitch and get the cross in.

20-year-old Jonathan Rowe is in the box to get on the end of the cutback cross and scores.

His seventh goal of the season.

    Rob Street (41 mins)

    CHELTENHAM HAVE SCORED!

It's their first goal of the season in their 12th League One match and prevents them setting the longest streak without a goal in English football.

    Leicester 1-0 Stoke

Stoke have battled back in the possession stakes. The Foxes are down to 76% possession in the opening 37 minutes.

It's a bit like a training game for the hosts. You feel like Stoke would almost take the 1-0 now. However the longer it stays this way the better their chance of a counter-attack sucker-punch one supposes.
