  1. As it stands in top flightpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

Early days and that, but the carrot for both these sides in Dingwall is a place at the top of the table for a couple of hours at least.

Right enough, County would need to win 4-0. For Rangers, a 2-0 victory would do it.

  2. Dhanda returns to start ahead of Turnerpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

    Ross County v Rangers (12:30)

Yan Dhanda is a surprise starter for County, Friday team news having suggested that the influential midfielder would have to wait until after today's game before making his return from injury.

Similarly, on-loan Wimbledon defender Will Nightingale makes the bench along with forward Alex Samuel.

Kyle Turner, who has scored in the last two games, will count himself unlucky as County's summer arrival from Partick Thistle drops to the bench to make way for Dhanda in the only change from the side that started last weekend's extra-time Viaplay Cup win in Airdrie.

  3. First Roofe start in 16 monthspublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

    Ross County v Rangers (12:30)

It's three changes in Rangers' XI following Tuesday's draw with PSV Eindhoven and the big news comes in the attack.

Kemar Roofe is in for his first start in well over a year - SIXTEEN months to be exact.

He's joined by John Lundstram and Sam Lammers, while Jose Cifuentes, Ryan Jack and Abdallah Sima all drop to bench.

Tom Lawrence could also make a long-awaited return from injury as the midfielder features in a Premiership matchday squad for the first time in more than a year.
