More from Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers in his post-match presser...
"We're bitterly disappointed. We totally felt we deserved to take something from the game. We had a great start, and scored a great goal.
"We're disappointed with the goal we conceded. We could do better from the corner, but I thought going into the second half - except from the one opportunity they had late on - we had good control of the game and were getting through them, and it only looked like being a matter of time until we could score.
"We got the goal, but unfortunately Daizen just got a touch on it and made it offside. I felt at that time we deserved to get in front.
"To concede late on like we did, it's really harsh on us. But, there is learning there, you have to secure the ball in the game and if you're not going to win it at that stage, you certainly can't lose it.
"The players gave everything, we have the mentality, everything. I'm just disappointed for the players and supporters that we couldn't get the result.
"It was a devastating way to lose a game because we deserved something from it, but we'll analyse it and learn the lessons from it."

At this level, Lazio won't continue to make the same mistakes. They won't continue to hit the first man, they will find the players, but that's their quality.
You have to manage that, and Celtic just didn't at the end of the game.

We were all looking forward to the Champions League for Celtic this season.
We thought they had something about them, that they could go and actually compete. Then, the change in management, then they went off the boil a little bit.
Third place, at least, is absolutely vital for Celtic. They have to show progression.

Celtic need to get over this quickly as Derek McInnes' Kilmarnock visit Parkhead on Saturday (15:00 BST).
After that, it's the international break.
Arguably the biggest blow is the fact that Celtic now have back-to-back games with Atletico Madrid.
Diego Simeone's side are an absolute powerhouse in European football. Getting anything from those games will be a huge ask.
You're then potentially looking at being on zero points by the time matchday five comes along. Not ideal.

Celtic didn't deserve to lose the game. There where periods they were very good, and ones where they gave the ball away.
You can't take chances like they did, though, you have to clear your lines and at the death, they didn't do that.
I thought Celtic were in the ascendency, too. It's a hammer blow.

I don't think Celtic are that far away.
Looking at the Feyenoord game, that first hour, it was very like-for-like, tonight as well, it's just fine margins.
That was the most complete performance from a Celtic team, without being clinical and creating loads of chances, but being controlled in possession and compact defensively - apart from the goals.
You cannot play well for 93 minutes, and switch off for two.
That defeat also sees Brendan Rodgers break an unwanted record.
Among the 89 managers to have hit the 20-game mark in the Champions League, he is the only one to have won just two of his opening 20 matches.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells TNT Sports: "Disappointed in terms of the result of course, but really for the players because they gave so much.
"We scored a fantastic goal and we're disappointed with the one we conceded.
"Apart from one chance early on in the second half, we looked like we could go on and take it.
"Disappointed with the winning goal, you just have to secure the game at that point, that’s just game management. Just that one moment of quality sees us lose the game.
"I can’t fault the players for their effort shown in the game. I can’t be critical of this group of players after what they gave. We should have had more from that game."
Reaction from this man coming right up...
FT: Celtic 2-1 Lazio
Dave: Celtic showing they are not far off holding their own with Europe's finest. The result is partially lucky for the Italians as they did not overawe Celtic at any point in the match.
Rory: Went toe to toe with a mainstay of European football. The match finishes a couple of minutes earlier and we'd be talking about a gladiatorial performance. It's a stride in the right direction.
Ali: The long march continues for Celtic. They just can't win when it comes to the Champions League.
Darren: We’re our own downfall once again. Make our own mistakes after outplaying the opposition. Bad night in the end against a poor Lazio side.

There are so many positives for Celtic to take, but how often can you say it?
This was a chance, Feyenoord was a missed opportunity as well, but this is a huge one. Winning the game would have put them in a really good position in the group.

We're stunned. Not that they didn't win it but that they lost it.
They have to stop giving the ball away in bad areas.
Brendan should be really proud of them though and the fans should too.
As Colin mentions, Celtic's winless home run in the Champions League goes on.
That's now 11 games and 10 years without one, and just one win from their last 23 Champions League games all in.

BBC Scotland at Celtic Park
When Atletico Madrid pitch up here in three weeks, 10 years will have passed without a home win for Celtic in the Champions League.
This is an all too familiar outcome at Celtic Park on these nights, but the way it unfolded was a whole new level of torture.

Lazio looked like a team holding on for a draw, Celtic were in complete control and building in the second half.
Celtic were patient, perhaps too patient, then it becomes a bit of a rush at the end of the game.
Give Lazio any sort of a chance, though, and they take it. They make that moment of quality count.

Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley tells TNT Sports: "Pretty upset to be honest. Game was in our hands right until the end. Fine moments once again decide it.
"We have four games to put this right. I thought we played well but it wasn't enough."
"That's as good as we've played in the Champions League. Conceding that late isn't nice at all. Fans were amazing as usual."
