  1. A magical night for Walespublished at 22:13 British Summer Time 15 October 2023

    FT: Wales 2-1 Croatia

So that's about it from us at the Cardiff City Stadium after a sensational win for Wales.

That's a result that ranks right up there among Wales' finest - think Belgium and Russia, Italy, the play-off final with Ukraine.

This was Wales taking the game to one of the best international teams in the past decade and deservedly earning three points when they absolutely had no margin for error.

Wales' qualification fate is now in their own hands. Who could have predicted that a little earlier in this campaign?

Thank you for following along with us on a memorable evening for Welsh football.

Another epic night at the Cardiff City Stadium.

    Nos da.

  3. 'A big result but we have to back it up' - Daviespublished at 22:05 British Summer Time 15 October 2023

    FT: Wales 2-1 Croatia

Wales captain Ben Davies told BBC Radio Wales:

"It's a big result for us.

"Our backs were against the wall and we knew what we had to do coming into the game.

"It's a big night but it means nothing if we don't back it up next month.

"We've shown our spirit over and over again.

"We came out tonight and put a good performance in. We know we've got that connection with them (the fans)."

Wales manager Robert Page told S4C:

"From the first minute right to the 95th, we had to dig deep.

"With the help of the supporters, we have made it another great night for the lads.

"The boys dug deep. Their attitude again in this camp has been incredible. I wish you guys could come in and see it.

"Everything's okay. I can't praise them enough. I think seven of them are not starting at their clubs, but they put the Welsh jersey on and they play like that. They want to come and they enjoy it.

"I couldn't be any more proud of them.

    "Actions speak louder than words.

"I'm sick and tired of having to keep coming on and talk about my future. Let's just talk about the lads and the performances they have put in.

"I get emotional because I'm so proud of them and they deserve all the plaudits they are going to get.

"We can't wait to meet up for the next game."

  5. '100% behind the manager' - Wilsonpublished at 21:57 British Summer Time 15 October 2023

    FT: Wales 2-1 Croatia

Wales goalscorer Harry Wilson told S4C:

"It was a big night for me personally, representing my country 50 times is something I couldn't have dreamt of.

"Tonight wasn't about me, it was about the team.

"We're always confident in the quality we've got in the group.

    "We're 100% behind the manager.

"We know there's been a lot of noise from the outside and some comments that weren't helpful for us in our preparation from people we didn't really expect the comments to come from to be honest."

They've got to go to Armenia and get a win.

It doesn't matter how, just get a win then come back here to this stadium, it's become the home of the Welsh football team.

It just keeps producing. Fans know they come here and they've got a job to do.

The truth is, Croatia were favourites today, I thought this experienced team would come here and perform far better, but Wales stopped them from doing so.

Why haven't we seen Wales performing like this over the past few months?
