  4. Post update

    Exeter 2-3 Middlesbrough

    Brent Pilnick

BBC Sport at St James Park

Poor old Ryan Trevitt. He's scored two wonderful goals tonight, but he will probably remember the evening for that tug on Morgan Rogers that cost the penalty.

But the 20-year-old Brentford loanee seems to have a bright future judging on tonight's performance.

I can't imagine how Exeter boss Gary Caldwell feels right now, I feel sick myself!

A moment of madness, just crazy. Exeter were in no danger. Morgan Rogers wasn't going to have a shot.

This game has flown. You can have some games where you are looking at your watch and wondering when you can shoot off, but this is enthralling.

This is a wonderful cup tie, it really is.

  18. Post update

    Exeter 2-2 Middlesbrough

    Brent Pilnick

BBC Sport at St James Park

    OK, who saw that coming?

It's bouncing in here once again now. Trevitt's shot took a slight deflection on its way though and it's fired up the hosts once again.

I still think Boro will have too much, but we have got a really good cup tie on our hands.

  19. 'Game back to life'

    Exeter 2-2 Middlesbrough

    Nathan Jones

Former Southampton manager speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a wonderful goal and what the game needed form a neutral point of view as there was a fear Middlesbrough would run away with it, but this has now kicked it back into life.

  20. GOAL - Exeter 2-2 Middlesbrough
