  1. Goals guaranteed

Peterborough United and Barnsley have followed each other in recent seasons.

Both were relegated fairly meekly from the Championship in 2022, before both were stunned by Sheffield Wednesday in last season's play-offs.

As this campaign reaches the halfway point, Posh will be satisfied with their second spot, Barnsley frustrated to be sitting in seventh.

But just four points separate the sides with the south Yorkshire team having played one game less, so the difference is minimal.

While these are the top two scoring teams in the division with Posh on 45 goals and Barnsley 43.

When they hit form, there are usually goals to be had and hopefully that will be the case tonight.

  2. Magennis puts Wigan in front

    Wigan 1-0 Carlisle

The first of tonight's League One games got under way at 19:00 GMT and is currently 1-0 to Wigan after Josh Magennis' penalty against the bottom side.

Over 4,000 fans have made the trip down the M6 from Cumbria and they will hope for a turnaround to this score.
