AFC Wrexham players celebrate during their 6-0 win over MorecambeImage source, Rex Features

Last Saturday was pretty much perfect for second-placed Wrexham.

They won 6-0, while Stockport and Mansfield - the teams immediately above and below them in the table respectively - both lost.

Tonight, they are away at Harrogate, who have lost five out of their last six home games in all competitions.

Notts County also suffered defeat at the weekend and would love a home win against Crawley to keep pace with their promotion rivals.

Six wins from eight games have lifted Crewe up to fourth in the table, two places ahead of Notts.

The Alex visit Sutton United at Gander Green Lane, but must be wary of the bottom side, who are unbeaten in four league games.

  20. Milton Keynes on the risepublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2023

MK Dons v Grimsby (19:45 GMT)

Milton Keynes have eased their way up the table in the last few weeks with a nice run of form.

Three wins from their last four game have climbed them to 13th - and just three points outside the play-offs.

They will be greedily eyeing up another win tonight at home against lowly Grimsby.

The Mariners have David Artell in charge for the first time tonight.

The former Crewe manager was appointed yesterday and replaces Paul Hurst, who oversaw a run of only one win in 10 games before being sacked in October.

Grimsby are unbeaten in three but sit just two points outside the bottom two.
