    Derby celebrating

With the top two not playing, the chasing pack stepped it up in League One with Peterborough, Stevenage and Derby all winning.

The Rams have won five on the spin as they start to gather some momentum for what their fans hope will be a promotion charge.

At the bottom, chaos again at Reading as more protests off the pitch were combined with another defeat on it.

Meanwhile Stockport stretched their advantage in League Two - but only by a point - on a day when their nearest rivals' games were rained off.

Thanks for your company today - hope you've not got too wet this afternoon wherever you may have been.

We return for the biggest game of the season so far in the third tier - Portsmouth v Bolton - on Monday night (20:00 GMT).

    See you then!

  2. League Two - daylight for County

    #bbcefl

League Two table - top half

Stockport's League Two winless run stretches to three games but Kyle Wootton's late equaliser sees them move six points clear at the top.

Crewe and Notts County could have gone into the top three, but both lost while AFC Wimbledon were the big movers, shooting up to seventh after thumping Swindon.

The bottom two did not play, enabling Tranmere to pull clear of trouble with a win, as they leaped above struggling Colchester.

  3. League One - Battle at the bottom

    #bbcefl

League One table - bottom half

Cheltenham’s resurgence continued at the foot of the table as the basement boys were the only struggling side to avoid defeat with a 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers.

Reading are only above the Robins on goal difference after a 3-1 home loss to Barnsley while Carlisle are two points ahead after their 3-0 reverse at Blackpool while Fleetwood are fourth-bottom, three off the foot of the table, after a 3-0 drubbing at Northampton

Exeter’s winless run reached 11 matches and they have taken two points and scored just two goals in that run after a 1-0 defeat at home to Port Vale, who ended a winless streak of 11 games themselves.

Burton’s 2-1 loss to Stevenage saw them slip below Vale and Cambridge who snatched a 2-2 draw at Charlton in the dying seconds through Gassan Ahadme’s double.

  4. League One - Tight at the top

    #bbcefl

League One table - top half

With leaders Portsmouth and closest-rivals Bolton not in action until Monday night, five of the chasing pack too the opportunity to close the gap.

Stevenage are up to third, behind Wanderers on goal difference, after coming from behind to win 2-1 at Burton while Peterborough are fourth after thumping Oxford 3-0 to continue their impressive home form.

The Us slipped from third to sixth and behind Derby who were 3-0 winners at Leyton Orient.

Barnsley are within two points of the play-off places after coming from 1-0 down at crisis-club Reading to win 3-1 while Blackpool are hot on their heels after beating Carlisle 3-0 with Jordan Rhodes at the double.

  5. League Two headlines

    #bbcefl

    • Leaders Stockport need a late equaliser from Kyle Wootton at Morecambe to extend their advantage to six points.
    • Notts County miss the chance to go second as two Oisin McEntee goals help Walsall come from behind to win at Meadow Lane.
    • Crewe also miss opportunity to move into promotion spots as they lose 2-1 at Grimsby.
    • AFC Wimbledon are up to seventh with a thumping 4-0 win over Swindon with two more goals for Ali Al-Hamadi.
    • Tranmere are now six points clear of the relegation zone as they come from behind to beat Newport.

  6. League One headlines

    #bbcefl

    • Derby made it five wins on the bounce to move to within sight of Portsmouth and Bolton with a 3-0 win at Leyton Orient.
    • There were more tennis-ball protests at Reading despite Harvey Knibbs opening the scoring for the hosts. Amid warnings the game might be stopped, Barnsley's Herbie Kane penalty levelled it before Devante Cole's 25-yarder and Max Watters' third made it 3-1.
    • Stevenage are the dark horses of the division, and they came from behind at Burton to make it 11 games unbeaten and move up to third place, with a 2-1 victory.
    • Charlton were cruising against Cambridge after Alfie May's 19th goal of the season and Chem Campbell adding a second. But Cambridge hit back with two goals late in the game from Gassan Ahadme to share the points.
    • Peterborough claimed fourth spot with a comfortable 3-0 win over Oxford, who they leapfrog into fourth place.
    • Bristol Rovers came from behind to claim a point in Matt Taylor’s first game in charge, Jack Hunt cancelling out Will Goodwin’s goal for Cheltenham.
    • Port Vale won the clash of two out-of-form teams, Sheffield United loanee Oliver Arblaster getting the only goal. Exeter’s misery was complete with Will Aimson sent off late on.
    • Blackpool moved to the fringes of the play-off zone with their third win in four games, 3-0 at home to Carlisle, who have now lost four out of five to remain in relegation trouble.
    • Taylor Perry’s goal at Wycombe gave Shrewsbury only their second away win in their last 20 games.
    • Mitch Pinnock’s double and Sam Hoskins made it four wins from five for Northampton at home to Fleetwood.
  7. Post update

    FT: Notts Co 1-2 Walsall

    Michael Beardmore

    BBC Sport at Meadow Lane

It might be a surprise win but it was a fully deserved one.

Walsall pressed the life out of Notts County and barely gave the Magpies a sniff at goal in the second half.

  8. League One update

    #bbcefl

Two late goals from Cambridge's Gassan Ahadme, the second a penalty six minutes into added time, shocked Charlton just when they seemed to be heading for victory.

It's now 2-2 with seconds left...

  9. FULL-TIME

    Bristol Rovers 1-1 Cheltenham

Bristol Rovers have extended their unbeaten home run to seven games after coming from behind to secure a point against battling Cheltenham.

Jack Hunt's volley on his 500th career appearance cancelled-out Will Goodwin's first-half opener but Matt Taylor's first home game in charge of Gas ended all-square.

The Robins are however only five points from safety and only bottom on goal difference after a hard-earned point.

  10. FULL-TIME

    Notts County 1-2 Walsall

Not sure many saw this coming at half-time as Oisin McEntee's double sees Walsall come from behind to secure a first win in the league since 14 October.

It's a bad day for Notts County as they suffer a sixth defeat in 12 league games - that is definitely not promotion material.

  11. FULL-TIME

    Exeter 0-1 Port Vale

A grandstand finale at SJP sees chances at both ends but it is the visitors who have seen it out to claim their first league win since 16 September.

Their 11-match winless streak is over, Exeter's winless streak is now 11 games. They have fired a blank for the ninth game in 11 and lost for the ninth game in 11.

The 10-men gave it a good go but the pressure intensifies on boss Gary Caldwell once more.

  12. FULL-TIME

    Morecambe 1-1 Stockport

Leaders Stockport salvage a point thanks to Kyle Wootton's late goal, as they move six points clear at the top.

But it's a fifth game without a win in all competitions.

  13. FULL-TIME

    Peterborough 3-0 Oxford

Posh are four points off the top of League One and could have won by many more were it not for Us keeper James Beadle.

Hector Kyprianou, Ricky-Jade Jones and Ryan De Havilland got the goals.

Des Buckingham awaits his first goal and first win after three league games in charge. Oxford are losing ground at the top, quickly.

  14. FULL-TIME

    Grimsby 2-1 Crewe

Grimsby hold on for a first win under new manager David Artell.

Those two first half goals are enough to inflict a first defeat in eight matches.

  15. RED CARD

    Exeter 0-1 Port Vale

City's Will Aimson sees red for a second yellow card. They wlll finish the game with 10 men.

  16. GOAL: Peterborough 3-0 Oxford

    Ryan De Havilland (90+2 mins)

Game over. That's Ryan De Havilland's first league goal and he can only have been on the pitch for a couple of minutes. Might even have been his first touch.

    Posh are home and dry.

  17. Post update

    Grimsby 2-1 Crewe

Crewe have four minutes of injury time to find an equaliser.

  18. Post update

    Notts County 1-2 Walsall

Chance for Walsall to make it safe, but Donervon Daniels' header is kept out by Aidan Stone!

  19. CLOSE!

    Exeter 0-1 Port Vale

Exeter have scored two goals in their last 10 games and have done everything but score today.

Ryan Trevitt gets on the end of the Grecians' 11th corner of the afternoon but is unable to keep his effort on target.

Port Vale are moments away from ending three months of winless frustration in the league. Exeter's gloom deepens.

  20. GOAL: Morecambe 1-1 Stockport

    Kyle Wootton (87 mins)

    Equaliser!

Substitute Kyle Knoyle with the cross and Kyle Wootton is there at the back post to level.

It's an eighth of the season for Wootton - now is there time for a Stockport winner?
