  1. 'That's Rubezic all over'published at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    HJK Helsinki 1-0 Aberdeen

    Rory Loy
    BBC Scotland in Helsinki

It is nothing less than Helsinki deserve, but that is Slobodan Rubezic all over - going for a ball he can't win.

Hassane Bande doesn't really have to do anything to get beyond Rubezic, but take nothing away from the finish.

It is not worth the risk to defend like that, especially at this level, because you will get punished.

  2. 'Major disappointment'published at 18:04 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    HJLK Helsinki 1-0 Aberdeen

    Stephen Craigan
Former Motherwell captain on TNT Sports

There's no doubt it's a major disappointment. If not for Kelle Roos, they may have conceded earlier.

Rubezic is caught trying to dive in. That's something he's going to have to eradicate from his game. You can't win every ball.

You have to say HJK deserve it.

  3. 'HJK will fancy more'published at 18:04 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    HJK Helsinki 1-0 Aberdeen

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland in Helsinki

HJK are knocking the ball about very well at the moment, pulling Aberdeen all over the park.

They aren't looking like a side who have only played two competitive matches in the last five weeks.

The hosts are deserving of the lead, and the way this is going, they will fancy their chances of adding to that.

GOAL! HJK Helsinki 1-0 Aberdeenpublished at 18:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    Hassane Bande

    Aye, they absolutely deserve that.

Slobodan Rubezic tries to dive into a tackle on HJK forward Bande, but he gets nowhere near him and he's through to smash past Kelle Roos.

The Aberdeen keeper couldn't stop that one.

  5. 'HJK have come right into game'published at 18:01 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    HJK Helsinki 0-0 Aberdeen

    Rory Loy
    BBC Scotland in Helsinki

Aberdeen had the better of the opening exchanges, but Helsinki have come into the game.

Neither have taken their chances though, which probably suggests why neither of these teams have been able to qualify.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:00 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    HJK Helsinki 0-0 Aberdeen

Another stop with the boot of Kelle Roos, this time from a near-post shot by HJK wing-back Soiri.

    The Dons are struggling.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:59 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

Top goalkeeping from Kelle Roos as HJK winger Keskinen rounds off a nice move by forcing the Dons keeper into a stop at his near post.

The large Aberdeen support are certainly making themselves heard early on.

The snow flakes are definitely a lot bigger than they were a few minutes ago.

  9. CLOSE!published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    Not far away at all.

HJK wide man Hostikka curls one from the edge of the box with his left foot, but it bends just wide of the far post.

  10. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

Tame shouts for a penalty as HJK striker Radulovic hits one in the spin.

He thinks it hit a hand. Nothing given.

That was gilt-edged chance for Pape Gueye. It would have been a dream start for him.

I watched him in the warm-up and he put a few of those away. Obviously, it's different in match conditions.

  13. Postpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

Jack Milne gets down the right and bends a ball into the HJK box.

It seems to ricochet a bit then Pape Gueye has a close-range effort blocked.

The Aberdeen fans are in fine voice as the players come out on to the pitch.

And why would they not be? Milk every moment, you never know when you'll watch your team in a European group stage again.

  19. Robson 'has belief' in players coming inpublished at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2023

    HJK Helsinki v Aberdeen (17:45)

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson tells TNT Sports: "Some players have performed well for us. They've been training really hard and deserve an opportunity.

"We've got belief in the boys that they can come in and win us the game. We come here to try and win the game, we've tried to pick a team to go and win the game.

"We all know plastic is different from grass, but we need to go and perform on it. We've got 1,500 fans here and make sure we perform for them especially.

"We've got to be structurally good. We know they've got threats all over the park, but so do we."

There has been a lot of talk about the weather in Finland in the build-up to this one.

So the latest is, it is perishing. The stadium clock is intermittently flashing up with the temperature, at the moment it says -3C, but once you factor in the wind chill element...

The snow is lightly falling and there is a light dusting over parts of the artificial surface at the Bolt Arena.

Anyway, that is the weather update - I'm off to put my gloves on.
