They return to league action next Saturday as they host Hearts, while Killie visit Livingston.
'We believe we can beat any team' - Kennedy
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Kilmarnock match-winner Matty Kennedy tells BBC Sportsound: "The first half was quite difficult for us. At half time the gaffer came in and had a bit of a go.
"I feel once we got it back to 1-1, you could sniff the feeling we were on top. We were creating chances.
"When we beat them here last time, we defended a lot but today we thoroughly deserved the victory.
"We are a good team. We do believe we can beat any team. We can do well, especially at home.
"We strive to go as high as we can. We'll just keep picking up points and see how we are at the end of the season."

On that match-winner, let's hear from him...
'It feels like the Clarke days for Killie'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Stephen McGinn
Former Kilmarnock midfielder on BBC Sportsound
They've beaten Celtic and Rangers already this season, but they were different types of performances. They were defensively sound, today felt like the great days of Steve Clarke's reign.
Killie really got after Celtic, there was only one winner at 1-1. There was only one team out there that looked like they could win. It was absolutely deserved.
Some unbelievable individual performances, none more so than the match-winner. He was outstanding, what a shift.

Sorry, but all I see is the 'Evil Kermit' meme when I look at pictures of either Brendan Rodgers or Derek McInnes with their black hoods up today.
I can't help it. Rent free in my head.

'We're inconsistent at the moment' - Rodgers
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
A bit more from Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers on BBC Sportsound...
"We're a bit inconsistent at the moment. The first half last week at St Johnstone wasn't good enough, second half we were there, but it was the reverse today.
"We can't make excuses with injuries, we have good players. We showed in the first half that we can play to a good level. In the second half, we didn't."
On the title race, he adds: "There is a long way to go, lots of games to play. We'll pick ourselves up and go again."
'We played the game Kilmarnock wanted us to play'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Sportsound: "Performance first half was very good. We scored a very good goal, could have scored a few more. Our speed and intensity was good and I was pleased with that. Second half, we never got started.
"Instead of playing our game, we played the game Kilmarnock wanted us to play. We weathered a wee storm first 10/15 minutes, which you'd expect, but we got rid of the ball second half instead of passing it and that meant we couldn't sustain any pressure.
"We were then undone by an own goal and a second goal which we failed to defend well enough.
"You have to be press-resistant, you have to be able to deal with that pressure if a team is coming on to you or pressing you. You have to be able to manipulate the ball and combine and figure that out. That was the biggest disappointment."
Killie end Celtic's 16-game unbeaten start

More from Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes, who adds on BBC Sportsound: "We needed to show we have a performance in us that can beat Celtic and Rangers, that can win away from home and be more competitive.
"We have been far more competitive on the road, getting a good win against Aberdeen on Wednesday and we've followed that up with a good win against Celtic.
"We know we can either stand back and admire how good Celtic are or we can try and go and have a fight with them and let them know we are a good team."
'All credit to my players' - McInnes
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "First half there was loads of frustration. We never quite got the press right, we spoke about not wanting to allow Celtic to win the game and we reminded the players about that at half-time.
"The players were magnificent in the second half. We ask a lot of them. We had to get up against them more, show our teeth and be braver.
"I was pleased to just go in 1-0 down at half time. I didn't like the version we were out there, I have to take responsibility of that.
"But, my players deserve all the credit. It's alright for me to tell them what to do, but they have to go out there and carry it out. We ask a lot of them, but they answer up.
"You have to do a hell of a lot right to beat Celtic and we did do that. Risk and reward, and we got our reward."
'Celtic were outplayed second half'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound
It was all about the aggression.
The second half was quite incredible, Killie just kept going. A remarkable level of fitness, they didn't come off it at all. They went about their business brilliantly.
Celtic couldn't get any control in that second half. They were outplayed.
All credit to Kilmarnock.
As they stand
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
On that league table, let's have a swatch.
At the top, the gap stays at five after Rangers' win at home to Dundee yesterday.
But the Ibrox side now have a game in hand, plus there's an Old Firm derby on the way in a few weeks...
Killie jump up to fifth, two points off third-placed St Mirren.
'Europe is there for Killie'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Stephen McGinn
Former Kilmarnock midfielder on BBC Sportsound
If you're a Kilmarnock player right now looking at that league table, how can you not fancy one of those European spots right now?
It's there for them.
They have a talented enough team, they're hard to play against, they have goals in their team, a threat all over the park and they're such a good age. They just keep going.

Derek McInnes has just said his players were "magnificent" in the second half.
He's not wrong. We'll have more from the Kilmarnock gaffer soon.
'Killie's best win for a while'
FT: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic
Stephen McGinn
Former Kilmarnock midfielder on BBC Sportsound
This is one of the best wins I've seen for Kilmarnock in a long time.
It was all about picking their moment.
Post update
Today's game was different for Celtic though. They started well, got their goal and probably could've been out of sight.
But the second half... hmm. Their performance level fell off a cliff and Kilmarnock were well worth their two goals.
Last week at St Johnstone, it was the opposite for Rodgers' side.
Post update
Brendan Rodgers didn't hold back last weekend at St Johnstone and that was after a win.
What will he say about today? Ooft, it'll be interesting.
