  1. 'Hearts haven't put a foot wrong'published at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    HT: Celtic 0-2 Hearts

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

A very loud chorus of boos from the home support greets the half-time whistle. Celtic have been well below their normal level, while Hearts have been pretty much perfect.

Two set-pieces: two goals. Solid defensively when they've had to be.

A huge second half is required if Celtic want to extend their 52 game top flight unbeaten home record. Expect changes, and expect them to come during the interval.

Credit to Hearts, they fully deserve their lead. When was the last time Celtic found themselves two goals down at the interval at home in the league..?

  5. HALF-TIME Ross County 0-0 Dundeepublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

We've had a few chances here, mainly for the hosts, but it's a pair of goose eggs at the break.

Jordan McGhee has cleared two off the line, and Ricki Lamie has just denied Simon Murray with a vital block on the peep of the half-time whistle.

Dundee have broken forward well, but they've been a little sloppy in the final third and Ross Laidlaw hasn't had a save to make.

  6. HALF-TIME Celtic 0-2 Heartspublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

Quite the first half at Celtic Park. Hearts have done everything right, Celtic have done everything wrong.

Lawrence Shankland's header and Stephen Kingsley's free-kick were the reward for the former and Celtic have toiled since.

Still, a huge 45 minutes awaits for both sides.

  7. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-0 Hibernianpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

A rather flat affair thus far in Perth.

Liam Gordon thought he had opened the scoring for the hosts after heading home from a corner, but an offside ruling against Diallang Jaiyesimi kept proceedings level.

Nick Montgomery will want much more going forward from his Hibs side who have mustered up just two shots - neither of which were on target.

  8. HALF-TIME Livingston 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

Kilmarnock have certainly been the better team, but they've failed to trouble home goalkeeper Shamal George often enough.

Livingston came flying out the gates with an Ayo Obileye effort in the first minute. Rather damningly, they're yet to have a shot since.

More needed from both at the restart.

  9. HALF-TIME St Mirren 0-0 Motherwellpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

A first half in which chances have been few and far between.

St Mirren's Greg Kiltie has had the clearest sight of goal so far, but miskicked his effort just over the bar.

You sense that it is more likely to be a mistake than a moment of quality that defines this game, given the testing conditions.

    Ross County 0-0 Dundee

A chance for Dundee at the near post after a throw-in pings around the box. It drops for Aaron Donnelly to hit on the half-volley, but it's blocked at close range.

  14. Postpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hibernian

Not much going on in Perth as we meander towards half-time.

Graham Carey is standing out St Johnstone's main creator, while Hibs have failed to have a shot since Jair's go at goal in the ninth minute.

Hang on, midfielder Dylan Levitt has just thumped one way over from 30 yards.

  15. 'Lacking quality'published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    St Mirren 0-0 Motherwell

    Stephen Craigan
Former Motherwell captain on BBC Sportsound

There's very little between these teams, but both sides are lacking that little bit of quality.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Celtic 0-2 Hearts

A close one for the visitors. Kyogo Furuhashi bursts into life on the right-hand side and crosses low to the back post. The ball deflects into Luis Palma's possession and he looks certain to score but his touch and finish and blocked by the Hearts defence.

If Hearts are to preserve this lead, they will look back at this as a big moment.

  18. Postpublished at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Ross County 0-0 Dundee

A couple of long-distance efforts from both sides - Lyall Cameron for the visitors and Simon Murray for the hosts - but both shots rise over the bar.

This is a really even match. Just needs a goal.

  19. ‘The late, late show’published at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Dundee United 0-0 Raith Rovers

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

Raith Rovers have scored 28 league goals this season and 12 of them have hit the back of the net in the 80th minute or later. That’s 43%. So the game is yet young for Ian Murray’s men.

Jim Goodwin’s out at the edge of his technical area demanding a higher press from his forward players and Glenn Middleton’s just fired one wide of the post for the hosts.

  20. Postpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Livingston 0-0 Kilmarnock

A fierce delivery from Liam Polworth goes begging as Corrie Ndaba fails to find a connection at the back-stick.

Livingston not seeing too much of the ball in Killie's half.
