I have wondered if Kalvin Phillips is going to actually play his way out of England contention compared to sitting on Manchester City's bench.

Watching the games today, you'd have to raise serious questions of Southgate if he picks Kalvin Phillips over Curtis Jones in his next squad.

Liverpool have started this second half brilliantly. They've got in behind Arsenal a couple of times.

It certainly is a different Liverpool who have come out of the dressing room.

That own goal was undeserved. I hope we don't go into a false sense of security.

That goal going in off Gabriel’s hand feels like a little bit of justice for the Odegaard basketball incident in the reverse fixture.

    HT: Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

What a change in the atmosphere inside Emirates Stadium. It is the Liverpool fans who are singing during the half-time interval while Arsenal fans are stunned.

They can barely believe they have allowed Liverpool to go in level at half-time and the shambolic manner of the equaliser has not improved their mood.

How do Arsenal respond? That was a real hammer blow and they must recover quickly.

I'm pretty sure they should chalk off the goal and bring it back for a penalty for Gabriel's handball.
