It's gone quite bitty in the last few minutes, a lot of free-kicks in the QPR half giving Town the chance to go for the area. Asmir Begovic strides out of his goalmouth to claim the latest set-piece.

Brodie Spencer just won the first battle with Sinclair Armstrong as the bustling frontman tried to burst down the left and into the box. A perfectly-timed sliding challenge conceded a corner, which Ilias Chair whipped across the face of goal and agonisingly past the far upright.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14 mins

    QPR 0-0 Huddersfield

Reggie Cannon's day lasted just 13 minutes. Aaron Drewe is on to replace him.

Not the start Marti Cifuentes would have wanted.

    Great to see really.

Bit of treatment for Reggie Cannon who sank to the turf holding his leg... doesn't look good for QPR's American full-back. Subs are out warming-up already!

    QPR 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield have really settled into their stride - you wouldn't know they are winless on the road going all the way back to November.

Just like the Rs the danger is predominantly coming down the left hand side.

  6. CLOSE!published at 7 mins

    QPR 0-0 Huddersfield

Sorba Thomas' whipped corner from the left for Town is somehow deflected over the bar from close range after a flick from Rhys Healey.

That inswinging delivery was begging for a decisive touch but Steve Cook did just enough to prevent the deadlock being broken.

    QPR 0-0 Huddersfield

Welcome to the Championship Bojan Radulovic - the Spanish-Serb's first start in the division and he's taken a wallop in the air from a defender and goes down on his haunches with what could be whiplash.

He's eventually ok to continue and Sorba Thomas' free-kick comes to nought.

Every single time Ilias Chair gets on the ball there's a certain amount of optimism.

There's only been a minute on the clock and he's already been on the ball three times.

    QPR 0-0 Huddersfield

As so often, QPR start brightly down the left, Ilias Chair introducing himself to full-back Brodie Spencer and whipping in a couple of balls from the flank which the Town defence have to deal with.

So, how big is this game at the bottom of the table while so many Championship clubs have been involved in FA Cup action this weekend?

A win for Huddersfield and Darren Moore's men will have a bit of breathing space.

But a QPR victory will drag the Terriers properly into trouble.

  13. TEAM NEWS: Huddersfieldpublished at 13:27 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    QPR v Huddersfield (13:30 GMT)

Darren Moore has made one change from the Huddersfield side which drew 1-1 at Blackburn last weekend.

After two appearances off the bench, new striker Bojan Radulovic comes in up front for Josh Koroma, who drops to the bench. He'll partner Rhys Healey, who started for Watford as they won at Loftus Road a fortnight ago.

Sorba Thomas makes his 100th Championship start while new arrival from Groningen, Radinio Balker, makes the bench for the first time after illness and Matty Pearson is also among the subs after seven games out with a calf injury.

Substitutes: Bellagambi; Pearson, Koroma, Diarra, Kasumu, Wiles, Balker, Hudlin, Iorpenda.

    QPR v Huddersfield (13:30 GMT)

Well, Hoops fans, what do you make of this XI? Arguably the strongest at the disposal of Marti Cifuentes in perhaps their biggest game of the season so far.

Sinclair Armstrong leads the line, the 20-year-old has scored two in three games and has been increasingly influential. Today is his 50th Hoops appearance, the youngest to reach that milestone in more than 15 years.

Chris Willock, Lyndon Dykes and Ilias Chair are chosen behind and to the side of him. Does it get better than this for the Rs? Well one man who certainly hopes so is new arrival Michael Frey... the Swiss forward was unveiled before kick-off after his capture from Royal Antwerp. He'll be among the most interested spectators this afternoon.

Substitutes: Dunne, Smyth, Archer, Fox, Dixon-Bonner, Larkeche, Drewe, Pedder, Adomah

  15. Town looking for Moore to shout about on their travels...published at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    QPR v Huddersfield (kick-off 13:30 GMT)

While QPR boast the exact same record at home as they do away, Huddersfield’s away record is worse than their form at home.

They have won just two of their 14 games on the road, however their six defeats is bettered by only five sides.

The Terriers are certainly hard to beat - since Darren Moore’s first game in charge in September, they have drawn more Championship games than any other side (10). The problem for Town fans is that only Rotherham have won fewer games than Huddersfield’s three.

Eight of the 21 games Moore has overseen have ended 1-1.

Town’s leading scorer is Poland international defender Michal Helik, who has scored eight times this season – seven of those coming on the road.

Incredibly, Terriers players have scored only three other goals from open play on the road all season, two of them from Delano Burgzorg.

  16. No home advantage, or omen advantage...published at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    QPR v Huddersfield (kick-off 13:30 GMT)

On an FA Cup weekend sporting omens always seem to take on added significance.

Even though they picked up their first win in six with a 2-0 victory against Millwall in front of their own fans last weekend, the omens are still not great if you’re an Rs fan.

Not only is their home form still the worst in the division with only 12 points and eight defeats from 14 home games, they have won just one of their past dozen games against Huddersfield, that coming in November 2021.

Rangers fans might also bemoan the scheduling of this one, the Hoops have failed to win in 16 of their past 17 matches played on a Sunday, losing 12 of them.

They have lost their past six Sunday games, most recently at home to Watford two weeks ago, and last enjoyed success on the final day of the week when they thumped Leeds 3-0 in August 2016.

As you can see, if the hosts can end their hoodoo this Sunday lunchtime then they will leapfrog the Terriers and move out of the Championship drop zone for the first time since September.
