  1. 'A blip for Aston Villa'published at 22:03 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February

    FT: Aston Villa 1-3 Chelsea

    Dion Dublin
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think this is a blip for Villa.

I don't think this will affect them going forward. I think it was an off-day for Villa and Chelsea were brilliant.

  2. Postpublished at 22:03 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February

    Nottingham Forest `1-1 Bristol City

This is pretty much being played at walking pace at times. Both sets of players have run themselves into the ground.

  3. 'Chelsea's quality shone tonight'published at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February

    FT: Aston Villa 1-3 Chelsea

    Dion Dublin
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chelsea were outstanding. Villa started on fire and Chelsea didn't know what to do but then Chelsea took control.

They were dominant in every department. The quality that Chelsea have had for a very long time reared its head tonight and I didn't expect it.

I feel like they have hit a standard of football that if they keep that going, wow, they'll be some side.

And still they play on at the City Ground where they are approaching the end of the first half of extra time. Enormous credit to Bristol City. They have caused their Premier League hosts loads of problems.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February

    Villa 1-3 Chelsea

    Almost a fourth for Chelsea!

Moises Caicedo gets behind the Villa defence but he cannot beat Emi Martinez who makes a fine save.

  9. Postpublished at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February

    Aston Villa 1-3 Chelsea

A late surge by Villa. Substitute Tim Iroegbunam with a header but it lacks power.

    Too little, too late.

Just think about the pressure on Poch and all the noise. Then look at tonight’s performance. He deserves immense credit for that.

    No clean sheet for Chelsea!

Moussa Diaby gets one back with a shot which goes in-off the post.

    Surely just a consolation?

Usman: It took Poch over half the season and so many missed chances and abysmal performances to drop Sterling. Poch isn't good enough but I think that gives him until the Carabao Cup final.

Arron: Poch is out of his depth! Players are average and overpaid bumbling towards mid-table mediocrity! I couldn't be happier.

Anon: I wish i could, but one game cant be a decider. There is need for consistence and team balance. Benching Sterling today proves a point.

Forest should be able to come through this. As the game goes on longer and longer they should be able to.

But Bristol City seem to have an understanding and a belief.
