A lot of the pre-match talk has centred around what the atmosphere at Pittodrie would be like among the home support.

So far, there is nothing too toxic to report.

And we are under way in our re-arranged Premiership fixtures.

There's pressure on three of these managers, but they've all vowed to fight on - some more resoundingly than others. How will they fare this evening?

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "Right now, we need to win every game. It's a must win game.

"We're always talking about must-win games but we don't seem to get the win we're urgently needing.

"There's a lot of anxiety, tension, frustration and emotion flying about the changing room.

"Saturday was one of the lowest points of the season for me. I felt sorry for the boys, I'll sound like a lunatic but large parts of the Dundee game I was fairly happy with but defensive errors and individual mistakes killed us.

"I'm here, going to be here fighting until matchday 38."

Dundee manager Tony Docherty tells BBC Scotland: "When he [Beck] went back to Liverpool we were hoping he would play for them and it would be between us and Liverpool as to who he would play for for the rest of the season.

"I just hope for Owen's sake and for the team's sake that he goes on and has a really strong second half of the season.

"[Michael] Mellon picked up a knock against Livingston that he just couldn't shake off. I am not going to take any chances with him but he will be available for upcoming matches.

"It is a difficult game, it's the first time I've really tested the squad but I have got such confidence in the players coming in. Every individual that takes to the field knows their job and I have got huge confidence in them and hopefully we will see that tonight.

Aberdeen boss Barry Robson tells BBC Scotland: "We have had a few injuries and we have had a bit of illness in the camp as well. It is still a really good side we have got out there and one that we feel we can go and play some front foot football, get the fans on side.

"It is always a big game. There is always a bit of noise, all we can do is try and quiet the noise by wining football matches.

"I have seen that the fans want to win matches and so do I. I love the club and I will be doing my best to win football matches. If you win matches it makes everything all better.

"When you play for Aberdeen or you manage Aberdeen you have got to have thick skin. My whole career has been high pressure. I know what this job takes, I know how hard it is. They are all big jobs, I have played and managed in big arenas so you have to just keep calm and try and get the best out of your team."

Duk is out of the squad with illness, while new loan signing from Crystal Palace, midfielder Killian Phillips, is named on the bench.

Owen Beck is straight back into the starting line-up after returning to Dundee on loan from Liverpool once again.

Luke McCowan is suspended for Dundee but goalkeeper Trevor Carson returns. Aaron Donnelly, Ryan Howley, Ricki Lamie, Diego Pineda, Antonio Portales and Charlie Reilly are injured.

Ross County manager Derek Adams explains why he is sticking with the same XI tonight. "I thought we played very well on Saturday against Celtic," he told BBC Scotland.

"We took the game to them and we started on the front foot after them scored an early goal. We had six players, making their Premiership debuts on the day and I thought they all acquitted themselves well.

"It's an opportunity for both sides to get three points. And we know if we get three points we go above St Johnstone and Motherwell and that's what we are looking for tonight.

"We understand what Livingston are going to do. We've seen their team. And we are going to have to do well with the physical threat that they have in their team tonight."

Adams also says they've not received an offer from Hearts for Yan Dhanda.

Derek Adams picks the same XI which did well in the narrow defeat at Celtic Park. Yan Dhanda plays - and captains - despite the fact Hearts are trying to fast-track his move to Tynecastle before Thursday.

The midfielder has signed a pre-contract deal with the capital club to move in the summer.

After a potential move to Exeter City failed to materialise, forward Joel Nouble is back in the starting XI for Livi.

Scott Pittman and Kurtis Guthrie are also fit again and start. Jamie Brandon is the other change from the defeat by Dundee.

The mood surrounding the build up to this one has been very different for each side. Once again, Aberdeen manager Barry Robson finds himself very much a man under pressure.

It has really ramped up since their weekend defeat at third place Hearts, a result which leaves the Dons a massive 19 points behind the capital club. There has even been talk of protests at tonight’s game.

Dundee have received a huge pre-match boost with the return of left back Owen Beck on loan from Liverpool.

A win for Tony Docherty’s side – who thrashed Livingston last time out - would move them five points clear of Aberdeen, and up into the top half of the table.
